Aker Eye Vision Source (Downtown)

I had a wonderful experience at Aker Eye Downtown. I first had the pleasure of meeting Gabby who was so nice and made me feel so comfortable since it was my first visit there. She was very thorough and explained every procedure to me that she was doing. I can't say enough good things about her. Then I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Amanda who was also very thorough and understood my issues with the previous eye doctor I had seen which led to some negative eye health issues I was having. I am currently trying some new contact lens she suggested and so far they are wonderful. I would highly recommend Aker Eye to anyone. What a great experience! Thank you, Diane

Ice been going to this dr for years I have a handicapped child that he sees also and hes great we went today and I had a guy with glasses that did my exam and he was oh my god wonderful. Ive never enjoyed a Dr's appt like I did today he was fantastic 4th year student. He will do great. Can not say enough about this guy. Fantastic

Dr. Aker and his entire staff are the absolute best team I’ve encountered in the optometry business. From the smiling receptionist to the knowledgeable technicians and the best Doctor I’ve ever had for my eye health needs, this is the only place I will go! So, even if I move away, I will have to come back here for eye check-ups and glasses!

Haven't been to an eye doctor since I was 18 in 1979. Found myself in need to find a good one due to not quite being able to see as well as I had 20 years ago. I never had glasses and had no idea what the process would entail. I went online and read reviews. Research people. lol After reading for hours and days I decided to give Aker Eye a try. I was not disappointed. I filled out the new patient paperwork and waited only 10 minutes before I was called back. I was sat down and went through a series of test to evaluate my vision with devices I never knew existed. After those test, I was taken to another room and further evaluation was conducted. Then drops were put in and my eyes were dilated. The tech left and Dr. Sarah Koehnemann stepped in to complete the evaluation. She looked into the back of my eye looking for any issues like cataracts or glaucoma. Fortunately I did not have any issues. She went over the results in detail with me and answered all my questions. Surprisingly she showed me pics on the computer showing some scarring from old injuries in the back of my eyes. Did not affect my vision per se, but she explained a blow to the head may have caused it like from an auto accident. I had not been in one, however I have sustained blows to the head from work and as a child. I was accident prone. lol I received a prescription for my first pair of glasses ever! I know I am weird, but I am looking forward to wearing them. I always had great vision. At 67 I lost a little of that sharp contrast. This will give it back to me as well as my confidence. Thank you Aker Eye and thank you Dr. Koehnemann. You will get the best evaluation and everybody there is friendly and competent. You will leave, knowing, you have received the best care!
