Dr. Hannum at the Canton location is the biggest sweetheart ever! She's straight to the point & still asks all the necessary questions, and she's super kind to the kids when they have questions, too. I'm so thankful that we found her because there are a lot of bitter and jaded pediatricians out there, but this woman is a total ray of sunshine :) my kids love her and so do we!

I’ve only ever had great things to say about ACHP in general. The front staff of the North Canton branch is always hit or miss on friendliness. The back staff (nurses and assistants, all providers) are so compassionate and caring. I always feel my concerns are heard and the responses are always professional, warm and welcoming. The phone nurses, on the other hand, I’ve only ever had bad experiences with: they always seem quick to answer and ASSUME my questions are from a place of negligence. I thought we were meant to utilize our sources (like our child’s provider) to help GUIDE us, not make us feel inadequate as parents and belittle us. I did not appreciate today being talked to like I didn’t know how to parent my child. My daughter had been wax/waning with upper respiratory illnesses the last month and was finally feeling better up to several days ago when a fever was coming and going and her cough came back. The nurse was immediate to push when she would need seen (not even asking if I had an appointment scheduled or asking if I knew emergent signs to look for) and virtually yell at me for not rushing her in today. My daughter is eating and drinking and currently not running a fever, nor is she struggling to breathe or wheezing. If that changes and she needs seen before HER SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT FRIDAY, I will, as her mother, who knows my child’s best interest and when to seek care, will take her. The nurse’s tone of voice was awful and belittling- I honestly only stayed in the phone to be polite but wanted to hang up because of how they made me feel as a mother. I’m sure there are some parents that need the extra push. I am not one of them. If this nurse had taken the time during the phone call to listen to my concerns and address my PRE-APPOINTMENT concerns in a professional manner, I feel the conversation would have gone much smoother. This is not my first poor experience with the phone nurses throughout ACHP.

I normally take my children to the alliance or akron location. Had to take my daughter here. The front desk lady was so RUDE. I didn't know if I was in the right place (in the building) when I walked up and tried to ask. She did not look at us ONE time during this whole. Very rudely said. Name? I told her. And she ignored my previous question about asking her directly if I was in the right place and started the covid questions. After she she said they will be right with you also very rudely. She immediately turned and started talking very warmly to her co workers. So she COULD have talked to us nicely. But CHOOSE not too. When we got to our room my daughter and I noticed that there was some blood splatter onto the wall. I will NEVER come to this location again. I would rather drive in crazy akron traffic. It's such a shame because this is the first time I have ever had a bad experienced with an akron childrens location. We were there early morning of 8-27

We have always used a CHPA office for both of my children. I was pleasantly surprised with how mich we loved this office. We will be moving to this one for all future visits.

First encounter with Robin Brian and also my last. Either her reviews are fake or Robin has an undiagnosed mental illness causing serious mood swings. She was condescending and more concerned about vaccines than my granddaughters issues. I have nothing against nurse practioners, but be professional! Her medical expertise is a joke and the treatment or Lack there of was substandard. The medical Assistant was just as incompetent. Could not get the baby’s weight, had to check her length twice and then asked “is she sick because her nose is running” -she was screaming/ crying! I’m supposed to let them jab her with a needle? You can’t even weigh her! Neither one talked to the baby and gave no indication that they had any experience with children/ babies at all. Akron Children’s is not what it used to be. This place felt more like a factory than a care facility. We will find a doctor that takes their Hippocratic oath seriously and values their patients- this was not it.
