Akron children’s has amazing nurses, doctors and staff. I had my baby Maximus at 34 weeks and he needed to spend time in their nicu and then their nursery. The staff always provided meals for breast feeding moms, let me have full control over my son’s care, and made sure we were taken care of. They have a fold out bed for parents, showers, and so many other amenities. They never made me feel unwelcome or like a burden for being there so often. And they got my son into great shape. He will be coming home soon. The beeghley nursery staff, nurses and doctors are really fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about them. I had prior experience with Akrons with their cardiology department with doctor Carly who was also fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Thank you so much for everything you do for other families and did for our family.

Took my grandson to the ER with his new mom that has no experience with taking their kid to the ER on 30 May 2026, the receptionist was amazing with the check in. He had a fever of 104 at the house and when we got there it was down to 102 and they took him straight back to the room. Dr. Hawaida Came into the room and wasn’t even friendly at all. All she did was check his heart beat, lungs and ears. As she was doing that she check his throat and said it was nasty with no explanation of anything. She gave attitude because we explained we only gave him 3ml of Tylenol at first then waited and gave him 2ml more and it still didn’t break the fever. She gave attitude and said well you should have just have given him the 5ml at first. She had no compassion at all or even wanted to explain anything. As she pulled up his chart on the system she left the room with it wide open so we can see everything in the system with all the patrons ( HIPPA violation and we have pics of the system she left open for all patients). I’m really considering filing a formal complaint and get my lawyer involved for hippa violation and patient mistreatment. This was the worst ER visit I have ever experienced. In this field the caregivers should have compassion and treat patients and family with dignity and respect. When a healthcare provider walks in the room they should introduce themselves and walk through the process. We have to remember not everyone understands things the way providers do. I believe ethics and social etiquette is required. It was also taught in all of our required classes for our degrees we hold.

I used to really love the care my children got here but over the last few years it’s gone down hill. Their PCP left and we weren’t notified until we showed up for an appointment and they asked us who our PCP is. Today we we arrived for their appointments only to be told after 25 minutes of waiting that the provider called off and wouldn’t be able to see my children and MAYBE if we waited another 40 minutes they MIGHT be able to double booked us and get seen by someone else. They’re so worried about growing and getting bigger that there is no longer any doctor-patient relationship. You never see the same provider twice and they certainly don’t take the time to read the chart and know anything about your children before they walk in that exam room. I’m so disappointed in what this office has become.

My 3 year old just had some dental work done, and had to be put under general anesthesia. All the doctors and nurses were great! They ensured me he was in good hands, and he was! Went very smooth and no problems at all.

My son’s father brought him here today and we couldn’t have been more thankful for this staff. All of the nurses and the doctor were so kind and helpful for my 2 year old son. They got him in right away, called me at home for consent to treat (which I appreciated), and then rechecked his vitals multiple times before releasing him. Both his father and I were very thankful for their thorough care with our sick baby. We will be coming here from now on with all of our son’s needs.
