I had a very frustrating experience ordering contact lenses for my son through this office. After placing his order on Jan 23rd, we were told that one of my prescriptions was backordered. What followed was over two months of repeated trips for trials and phone calls — all of which we had to initiate ourselves. There was no proactive communication or follow-up from the office at any point. We had to consistently check in for updates, and each time I received little to no useful information. After months of waiting, I finally requested to speak with a manager. Only then was I told that my prescription had been “found in the back,” which was extremely concerning and unprofessional. I was also accused of picking up the other box that they couldn't locate. This experience showed a clear lack of organization, communication, and accountability. Patients should not have to chase down their own medical orders. I hope this office improves its internal processes and customer service moving forward. Order received March 30th
I just want to start off by saying this 3 star review is not due to the doctors or the woman at the front desk. The lady at the front was very kind. Dr. Garza and Lisa treated my daughter Emma and I so greatly. We were checked thoroughly and we both had a pleasant experience…until it was time to pick out our glasses. The woman said her name was Lindsay. She has curly, short hair with glasses. She wasn’t very friendly and ruined the whole experience for us. My daughter picked out a pair of red glasses. They fit her perfectly in my opinion. They weren’t falling down and looked appropriate for her size. (If they weren’t I would’ve directed her to some other ones). Lindsay said “oh no these are too big”. She went to look for other ones and checked in the back for some pink ones as we had been there before and that was done last time. My daughter was persistent on the red ones she chose. So I asked Lindsay “why can’t she have those”? She again said in such a condescending tone, “they’re too big for her”. I asked “big as in they can’t work with the prescription”? (Because I know some glasses can only work with certain PD’s) She looks at me again and said “no, they’re just too big for her face”. I asked “if that’s the issue, can you make them smaller? They’ve done that before”, to which she then said “Well, I’m not sure if we can adjust the prescription into the frames”. She was annoyed with my questions and came off very rude. Now, what no one knows is I had just recently lost my youngest daughter in a car accident. She’s the little one in this photo. I didn’t realize till afterwards that’s why my daughter, Emma, was persistent on those red glasses. She wanted the ones her sister tried on last year during her visit. I cried so much after this visit and it saddens me because we truly loved the experience before but I don’t think I can ever go back there after this. You truly don’t know what people are going through and it doesn’t cost anything to be kind.
Love the staff and Dr.Garza was very patient and listened to my concerns and he was very knowledgeable.
Prompt and polite. And no rush in choosing my frames. Dr. Garza answered all my questions and put my mind at ease with my eye health. My boys and I have been seeing him for over 15 years and shall continue to do so!
