Americas Best

I’ve been going to the America’s Best in Shakopee for years, and I’ve always had a great experience. Dr. Ryan is fantastic. He takes the time to explain the why behind the what, which I really appreciate because I’m a very curious person and tend to ask a lot of questions. He always gives thoughtful, detailed answers and never makes me feel like I’m asking too much. When I was looking for a new pair of frames, Associate Steve helped me pick them out and checked me out. While we were going through the transaction, he was cracking dad jokes and chatting with me, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. More recently, one of my glasses lost a screw and the lens popped out. Associate Andi helped me out, fixed my glasses, and even cleaned them for me. It was such a small thing, but that kind of helpfulness and attention to detail really stands out. Overall, this is a great store with a great team, and it’s in a really nice location. Even though I’ve moved out of Shakopee, I still make the trip back because I trust the team there with my eye care needs. I highly recommend the Shakopee America’s Best.

The doctor was great as usual. The staff on the other hand need improvement. Picked out my glasses and sat waiting to check out. And waited, and waited. And they kept checking people out who came out after me. Until I was the last person there. My exam took 10 minutes. I was in there for over 2 hours.

I am glad I choose to get my eye check here at Shakopee AB. I could have went to the linear competition for eye care but I found the team here to be worth the time. Dr. Ryan was excellent, the techs, Noah, receptionist, and Manager Sean all made sure that their work was to please. For a customer like me, they went above and beyond with my pair of glasses that needed tweaking for my face. A hidden gem here in Shakopee, which made the drive out worth it.

The doctor for the exams was great, but after my exam I walked to check out the glasses and found a pair that I wanted to buy. I wanted 1 pair of glasses and said I wanted to buy glasses, but wanted to know the price of the pair in my hand with my prescription and I was met with "Well if you buy 2 it is a better deal" and I said "I just wear them at home and I dont need 2. I just need 1". I was then brought to a table to sit down to collect for my eye exam and I thought he was going to quote me new glasses so I could buy them same day but instead started on his pitch of the club they offer and how the 2 glasses was better than 1 deal. When I said no to both and I just wanted 1 set of glasses I was then asked "so do you just want to pay for the exam or do you want the exam and the club" and I said just the exam and then was told to have a nice day! I WAS LITERALLY GOING TO BUY GLASSES and instead because I didnt buy what he was selling I didnt end up buying glasses at all and went somewhere else. I wouldve been an easy sale if he had just listened to me and not been on his own agenda. The rest of the staff seemed much more friendly and helpful.

The staffs to Doctor here are amazing. Doctor is super nice. Very friendly to kids. It’s full at the store but staffs are so patience when my kids are indecisive. They still give suggestions on things and not rushing the process even tho there’s a lot of people waiting.
