America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I had first gone to Sam's Optical in Elgin, IL and asked about red frames. I was pointed to a wall of frames and told that was it. No assistance, no one else was in the optical department, a bit of effort could have sold me a different color, but the salesperson just pointed to the wall. I decided to go to American Best in Elgin, IL. I was greeted, mentioned I wanted red frames, the sales person got up went to the wall of frames and pulled two pairs. I liked both. I asked her which looked better, the assistant chose the pair I bought. My glasses were ready in one week. I was very pleased with this American Best staff.

America’s WORST. The Hispanic lady that’s at reception ignores you, is very disrespectful and temperamental. Avoids customers and only hires very young girls that have 0 training. Ordered contacts never got contacted, came inside and put them on. Asked the manager for eye drops as I couldn’t see, said “NO” rudely. Asked if she had a contacts case I can purchase or take.. “NO”. I’m not sure why or how she still has her position at this location but it’s absurd. Shes the main reason for all the bad reviews.

If I could give them a 0 I would! 2nd time ordered lenses with them and after 2 weeks we get notified on email order is complete and then get a call we need to remake and need another 2 weeks! Don’t mark the system accurately and take long time to complete the tasks or just tell the truth of longer time needed to complete the orders. Also when you call them be prepared to respond the instant they stop talking or they think you are not talking and disconnect immediately. Just be careful doing any business at this location and avoid this place in every way possible.

Honestly one of the best places in Elgin, personally worked with Kassandra got me in and out quickly with a new pair of prescription glasses. would definitely recommend
