America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

We were so happy with American’s Best services on 4/11/26…the doctor was awesome, she explained everything completely & answered our questions. After eye exam we met with older woman, tried on glasses, my husband finally decided on the glasses he liked best, paid for the glasses…they said that the glasses would be ready within 2 weeks possibly before….A sales guy highlighted that they could not technically say before 2 weeks although in many cases, they Can arrive sooner…Well 2 weeks HAS PASSED & still NO GLASSES…we went there on Saturday 4/25/26 exactly 2 weeks after the appt…after looking thru drawers, sifting thru paperwork & looking up name/info on computer, their response was, the Glasses has not arrived from Mexico…they are stuck in delivery limbo somewhere…like WTH is going on AB? Then you call my husband today asking him to come in for ANOTHER EXAM? What does this all mean? Not sure what took place after the transaction went through, but we are HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED about this & unlikely to revisit this establishment . Yet we are still AWAITING the GLASSES that were PURCHASED !

I found them to be overly sales-y and really not focused on customer experience. I felt like I was constantly being pushed to buy contacts/eye glasses from them or being upsold. I went for an exam for eye glasses and contacts since I needed a new script to get new contacts. I was running out of contacts (which was my fault for waiting) but I urgently wanted to get this script so I could order new contacts asap. I got my exam then they asked that I come back in a second time for a contacts fitting a week later. In all the years I’ve had eye exams I’ve never had to come back for a second visit. Then once I came back a new doctor told me I needed a different contacts script and asked if I could come back a third time all while I only had a couple days left of my daily contacts. Felt like I was walking into a car dealership instead of an eye exam. The doctors were helpful and there were plenty of available appointments but the sales people were pushy. Plus, I’ve never experienced being upsold to get examined by additional machines during an exam for $20 additional fee for each machine. If I had a better experience I probably would have continued to go to them for years.

Great environment. Clean office. Friendly and courteous staff. Was helped by Sadia (hope I spelled it right). Very nice employee. The doctor was very kind as well. I originally was going to go to the Edison location but the girl who answered the phone there sounded miserable. Super happy I went with this one !

Very great experience at Americas best. I got glasses from here a year ago and went to get another pair this year. Both times Sadia helped me and make the experience painless and enjoyable. Will be coming back!

I had eye exam and ordered my glasses inin America's Best 1 year ago. They put thick lenses in my frame which I never used in my 50 years experience of using eye glasses for reading. During this year lenses were flt 3 times and l came back to the office to fix my glasses. They did it twice and on third time a representative was very rude, she said that I am old enough to take eye exam every half of year. She suggested to order new glasses. But my insurance covered the neye glasses once in 2 years. So she forced me to pay for glasses from my pocket. It's not fair. I used my previous eye glasses for 2 years and no wrong happened to them even now. I never recommend this optometry company to my relatives friends.
