I had a very good experience for my first-time as a patient in this office. I was taken quickly and was examined by the technician who was very nice and personable. I only had a very short wait to be put in a room and a short wait to be seen by Dr.Healy. she was very thorough and explained everything once she was able to get all the information from my exam. I'm going to need cataract surgery and she communicated to the front to schedule me to see the doctor who will perform the surgery. All in all, it was a fine experience.

Terrible experience at Atlantic Eye. I called because I had run out of contact lenses and needed an updated prescription. Since I was new to the area and my previous prescription was old, they scheduled me for a next-day appointment at their Wall location, which was over 30 minutes away. Before the appointment, I provided my contact lens measurements and was assured the correct lenses would be available. When I arrived, they had ordered the wrong measurements. The staff acknowledged the mistake and advised that a photo of my contact lens box would be sufficient since I no longer had the written prescription. During the visit, I was also asked whether I wanted to be dilated and was told it wasn't necessary for my contact lens prescription. After driving home and sending the requested photo, I received a call saying I should have stayed for an exam after all. The entire experience was marked by miscommunication and resulted in a wasted trip and wasted time. I would not recommend this place as there is a lack of accountability and complete chaos.
My initial appointment was with Dr. Fagen. Before surgery could be scheduled I had to see a Retina Specialist, which I did, and had the report sent over once completed ;surgery was a go. Surgery has to be scheduled through Bonnie, the scheduling coordinator. I have never had such a run around as I did with this person, and months went by with no schedule. Because Atlanic Eye is out of network I would need to pay for the services, which I was willing to do because of Dr. Fagen's reputation. I asked for the amount, and Bonnie insisted she had been calling and leaving messages, needless to say I checked my phone log and messages, and there was nothing from her. We finally had a conversation, and still she had no information and then said I had to get my own anesthesiologist which I have never heard of a patient having to do that. After going back and forth with her, I decided to go elsewhere, as she herself suggested. Wll never recommend Atlantic Eye to anyone. I think Dr. Fagen should rethink Bonnie's employment.
The doctor may be know what he's doing but, as for the office staff, there's no communications. I canceled an appointment in advance yet, i kept receiving text messages about confirming the appointment I canceled in advance. The Saturday before my canceled appointment I received a message on Monday from the coordinator to reschedule my appointment. Instead she calls me and leaves a message that I missed a scheduled appointment. I wonder if the doctor is aware that he lost a patient and money in his pocket for my cataracts surgery.
They will cancel your appointment without telling you until you get to the front desk at the time of your appointment. I guess if you really still want to come to this dump, at least double check with them the day before.
