Took my dad to America’s Best for the first time this week. We met with sales associate Senika who was so helpful and friendly. She gave him so much of her time and made the visit a very pleasant one! A great selection of glasses for every budget. I highly recommend this location for many reasons. Thank you America’s Best and Senika A+!!

I went to the White Plain NY location and had a very different experience than I had before. Senika helped me and she was wonderful. I wasn’t rushed she talked me through each step. She was very hospitable. Even when I went to pick up my glasses she greeted me and made sure everything was how we ordered together.
On May 11th I had a very disappointing experience at the White Plains location in Greenburgh, NY of America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses. I went in for a vision prescription exam, paid for my prescription, and later realized my PD (Pupillary Distance) was not included. When I returned to ask about it, Maria told me it was not added because I was not purchasing glasses there. However, if I paid for my prescription, all of my measurements should have been included or at least properly explained beforehand. She then said I would need to speak with the doctor, but the doctor was busy with patients. Maria had all of my information right in front of her and told me she would call me back before a certain time, but she never did. The lack of communication and customer service was extremely frustrating. I felt dismissed as a customer after already paying for services. In my opinion, if you value transparency and professionalism, I would not recommend this location or America’s Best in general.
America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses in White Plains gave me the kind of service I would expect from a basic franchise store, perfectly fine and professional. But this review is really for the resident optometrist, Dr. Hua Tang, O.D. My regular eye shop is back in Ventura, California, but since I’m currently in Stamford, Connecticut, and down to my last pair of contact lenses, I had no choice but to get my prescription renewed here. That turned out to be a blessing. Two years ago, I badly scratched my eye. The optometrist I saw back in Ventura, whose name I’ll leave out, effectively treated me as mono vision and never even gave me a proper prescription for my left eye because it was apparently written off as basically blind. So for more than a year, I had just been wearing the same power in my left eye as my right. After Dr. Tang ran several tests, she determined that my left eye is not completely blind at all. I do have a scar on my cornea, but it does not justify the way my vision had been written off before. You can imagine how relieved and happy I was to hear that. By the end of the exam, I had a new prescription that finally included my left eye, just with the proper updated power. I walked out feeling like I had a brand new pair of eyes. I’m genuinely grateful for Dr. Tang. She clearly knew her stuff better than the optometrists I had seen before in California, and on top of that, she had a warm, pleasant, and welcoming demeanor that made me feel comfortable despite my past experience. I cannot recommend her enough. If you need an updated prescription, you cannot go wrong with Dr. Tang. Let this also be a reminder to get a second opinion when something feels off, because not all optometrists are the same.
Great staff!!!! Very spacious place with a large selection of glasses. Very clean and spacious bathrooms. Appointment was right on time. The staff, Dr. Lang, Denise, Joanne and Sanike were all very proffessoinal and sociable at same time. I don't know which one was the lady at counter when I came in and had a little coughing fit due to eating while walking. She ran and got me a bottle of water. Place is wheel chair friendly. Plenty of parking.
