America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

Went into today for another for a 2nd exam due to them being shut down temporarily.  This location unlike KOP was very cleanly and considerate. The staff was polite and very friendly. The highlight of my exam was definitely seeing Iyerah from KOP. She’s knowledge, friendly, and absolutely hilarious. Highly recommend this location. Quick service. Clean.

I came to this location about almost a month ago, upon entry i was taken at the front and as i was checking in for an appointment, i wasn't aware that they didn't take my insurance that i had used 2 years ago at another location but it expired. As i was talking to the front lady, the elder lady with short hair with glasses behind her shouted if i didn't have a specific card for their vision they wouldn't accept it but that was before we could clarify that if they still took umpc or not because i wasn’t sure if they still did (if not i would've paid full no problem, in which case i did) so i was already a little bothered that she butted in the conversation and kept repeating herself to make a little bit of a fool of me. Appointment overall was great the blonde lady who did my vision was sweet, however i cant say the same for the staff. 4 weeks go by and i haven't received a call. I gave them grace because my glasses had gotten uv coating so i thought it’d take 3 weeks max, so i went out of my way to call the store today asked about the status of my glasses. Turns out they were already in store ready to pick up and they never called, and of course i was bothered because they ask for a phone number to call when they're ready and they never did.

Absolutely do not go here. I went in there on Monday for new contacts and the doctor changed my prescription drastically. I questioned them about it after I put my the new trials in and couldn’t see and they told me it was normal. I’ve been wearing contacts for 10 years, it wasn’t normal. Went back Tuesday afternoon because I still couldn’t see and the doctor only changed one eye. Guess what? Still couldn’t see. This afternoon (wednesday) I went to the King of Prussia location and the doctor there updated my prescription again, but now I can actually see. Save yourself the trouble and don’t waste your time here.

Review terrible service at the east norriton location. i came in with my boyfriend after my glasses accidentally got sat on and wanted to see if they were repairable. i'm 19, never did this on my own before. america's best is not my typical location, but i needed help fast since i was going somewhere that evening (to which i was very late to...). i had terrible service from the get-go. i asked about my glasses, to which a MANAGER, Cliff, came over. mumbled something about how the springs were broken (there's no springs in my glasses) and said i had to buy new ones. i was then told about a deal that was happening, 2 for 95$, from a girl with purple hair. i thought sweet! i got the exam with a wonderful doctor, i forget her name but she was the sweetest to my boyfriend and i. we were out picking glasses with no help from any of the 4-5 ladies on the floor including Cliff. i finally found the perfect 2 and went to the register. the girl checking me out clearly had no idea what she was doing. i get being new to a job, but no one was even helping her. the total comes out to 400 dollars after being asked about 20 different add-ons!! what happened to the 95?? turns out that deal only applies to select glasses which we were NOT at ALL informed about. so we had to choose NEW glasses which i was really heartbroken about. after my mom had a stern talking with them over the phone.. they were quite helpful. Cliff brought out some hidden glasses that i could pick out. we were in there for 2 1/2 hours. this entire interaction made me feel like i was supposed to know what to do. i dont clock in and out 9-5 every day here, yall do. so why was it SO difficult for some helpful assistance?? people come in to spend lots of money to be able to see and we need to be given the correct information the FIRST time. the whole staff (besides the doctor) were rude and extremely unhelpful. Also, my glasses took 3 weeks to ship, and every time i called about an update (which was twice) i got a short bye and was hung up on so i couldn't ask any more questions. Maybe its out of spite, or pettiness, that i had to make them do their job for once. Also turns out that one of the glasses had the incorrect prescription that the MANAGER Cliff had put in and now i have to wait for the other pair. after finding this out i went to visionworks and they were able to fix my glasses for FREE, by the way! never coming here again. this place is a huge waste of time and money!

My wife and I both went in today for an exam and had one of the hands down best experiences I have ever had at any Americas Best locations. Will definitely be returning year after year to continue to support this location in East Norriton and Ms Dawn Marie was the most helpful person I have ever encountered. A pleasure to do business here
