America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

After 4 trips the staff here could not adjust the glasses correctly. We placed both pair (one there was no issue with) on the table. The one pair was obviously different from the pair with no issues. The manager stated they are exactly the same. Sorry, a blind man could see the difference. The store manager here and the staff need to go back through customer service. This store manager has the worst attitude. With buying 2 new pair of glasses and going back within a very short time frame for adjustment. I was told I should have purchased an extended warranty. Really for a brand new pair. I was also told that I purchased a cheap pair of glasses. I did not pick them out based on price. I called the corporate office and got a new set of frames, which they adjusted incorrectly. Corporate advised I go to another location. Great way to fix your problems. I guess the Beaufort area does not deserve quality service.

Two issues. First, I was not happy when checking out. The associate, Celena, ordered my glasses wrong & did not give me the option to change them. She was rushed, I believe, as it was closing time. In addition, glasses are never on time. This is a problem. They should not indicate “your purchase will be ready by….” If it’s not going to be. In addition, upon checkout Celena always says “they are always in early though. Every time. Not once have they been on time let alone early. I’ve gone here the past few years but I’m ready to change to someone who cares about their customers.

Just don't. My husband and I both came here for eye exams WITH INSURANCE and both ended up paying extra money which was never done to us before. The worse part is my husband who is legally blind was charged DOUBLE the amount quoted for his prescription! They quoted hj. $74 AND CHARGED HIM $150 Unethical scam going on here. Shame on you America's Best!

Eye doctor was awesome, the exam was quick and easy. I knew exactly what glasses i was coming on for. Like many say they are all nice till it comes time to actually get your needed glasses. My glasses were supposed to be at the store Friday the 22, then I was told the Tuesday the 26. Just got off the phone with a rude customer service rep for this store. Didn't catch her name because she said it so quick. Asked her if my glasses were there and she supposedly went to look. Can guarantee that it actually happened. I explained that they were supposed to be there Friday. Scheduled things around them being here when I was told. It is a good thing I can see close up. If I couldn't I wouldn't have been able to do anything. I have no clue what is wrong with this location but I am either going to do business with the bluffton store or go to a different optometrist.

Dr Schaefer is great! I've seen her 2 years in a row and she said she remembered me! Definitely can tell she's meant to do what she's doing! Excited to see how my glasses and sunglasses turn out! Staff that helped me was very good as well!
