Unfortunately, my family has had two very disappointing experiences at this America's Best location, and I can no longer recommend it. My most recent experience involved a multifocal contact lens fitting. I paid out of pocket for services related to the examination and fitting process, and my insurance later confirmed that my contact lens benefit was not used. After having problems with the trial lenses, I returned simply to ask whether any options remained available. I understood that several months had passed and was not demanding free services or exceptions to policy. Instead of receiving a clear explanation, I was given conflicting information, my concerns were repeatedly dismissed, and the manager showed no interest in reviewing my account or understanding my situation. I left feeling completely unheard. This was not our first issue at this location. Earlier this year, my daughter was charged approximately $120 after we requested that an order be canceled. Despite multiple conversations with the store, we were repeatedly told no payment had been received, even though the charge had already posted to our bank account. We ultimately had to dispute the charge with our bank to recover the money. What disappoints me most is not only the outcome of these situations, but the complete lack of customer service, accountability, and willingness to investigate legitimate concerns. After these experiences, I no longer feel comfortable returning to this location and have chosen to continue my eye care elsewhere.

America’s Best has been our go-to for years — all of my kids wear glasses, and this location has been amazing every single time. The manager is truly outstanding and always goes above and beyond to be helpful, patient, and accommodating. From appointments to picking out frames, the experience is always smooth and stress-free. We’re so grateful to have a team we can trust and highly recommend this location to other families!
I visited Americas Best at the Richmond location. The team is very attentive to the customers needs. I’ve have gone to the same ophthalmologist for 10 years, so I was nervous about trying somewhere new. America’s Best did not disappoint. They have a wide range of frames to choose from and the eye exams are spot on. The Customer Service was also exceptional. Thanks again for my new eye wear, completely satisfied!
I’m updating my review because we were finally notified yesterday that our glasses are ready. I’m giving two stars due to the poor communication throughout this process. It took over three weeks to receive the glasses, and we only got answers because we consistently followed up ourselves. There were no proactive updates, no status calls, and no clear timeline provided. Each time we contacted the store, we were told there was no additional information available. My advice to new customers at this location: be persistent. Don’t wait for a call — you will likely need to follow up repeatedly to get updates. We’ll see how the pickup experience goes today and will reassess if needed.
They kept my lenses that my frames came with (2 pairs of Oakley) now I need a clear lens and they will not make lens with no prescription for me. I was willing to pay even though they kept the 4 lenses that were in my frames originally. Wont be back.
