Horrible experience. I’m fairly new to wearing glasses, and while shopping for my second-ever pair, I decided to try America's Best. Everything started off well — the staff was friendly, I completed my eye exam, and then moved on to picking out frames. I explained to the staff that this would only be my second pair of glasses and that I really had no idea how to choose frames that would fit me properly. I expected at least a little guidance, but all I was told was, “Find some that you like.” I ended up picking out a regular pair of glasses and a pair of sunglasses. While choosing lens add-ons, I asked about getting new lenses put into my original frames once the new pairs were ready. I was told it would be “no problem” and that it would cost around $150 for the lenses if I dropped them off when I picked up my new glasses. I paid almost $700 for the two-pair deal and was told I would receive a text once everything was ready. Almost three weeks later, I finally called to check on the status of my order and was told the glasses had already been ready for a week. I never received any text notification. When I went to pick up the new pairs and dropped off my original frames, I was suddenly told the replacement lenses would now cost $270. I was shocked that the price had changed so drastically, and nobody — including the store manager — could explain why. After already spending nearly $700, I decided to hold off on replacing the lenses in my old frames. When I tried on the new glasses, something immediately felt wrong. It felt like I was looking through a bird’s-eye view lens effect. When I asked about it, I was told my eyes just needed time to adjust and to wear them for a few days. After several days, the “bird’s-eye view” effect never improved, and the frames were also hurting my face. I spoke with a friend who has worn glasses for many years. After looking at my prescription, she mentioned that my prescription likely should have been progressive lenses instead of single vision lenses. She also said that could explain both the vision distortion and the price increase for my old frames. I went back to the store again for a frame adjustment and to ask about the constantly changing lens price. This time, the cost had somehow increased again to $310, and once again nobody could explain why. I was also told — again — that the bird’s-eye view issue would eventually go away on its own. If you need help choosing eyewear, understanding your prescription, or getting honest pricing, DO NOT GO TO AMERICA'S BEST. I received no real guidance, inconsistent pricing, poor communication, and glasses that still don’t feel right. Zero stars.

I received a call letting me know my son’s contact lenses were finally ready for pickup after waiting over three weeks. I drove all the way over, only to be told—once I arrived—that I needed to schedule another appointment before they could actually give them to us. This was extremely frustrating and a complete waste of time and gas, especially since I don’t live nearby. This should have been clearly communicated when they called me. Basic coordination and communication would have prevented this entire situation. Very disappointed with the lack of organization and consideration for customers’ time. They really need to get their process together.
