America’s Best Optometrist

This was my first time visiting America's Best, and Jessica made it an absolute 10/10 experience. I brought in my own sunglass frames hoping to get prescription lenses added. Instead of taking the easy route and giving me an immediate "no," Jessica was gracious enough to go the extra mile. She took a chance, explained the process clearly, and sent them to the lab with the fair heads-up that they might be rejected. Luckily, the lab fulfilled the request, and the finished sunglasses turned out fantastic! I am so grateful for Jessica’s willingness to help and her above and beyond customer service. I’ll definitely be back!

I had a very disappointing interaction with Leanne during a confirmation call for my appointment. Her tone came across as rude and condescending from the beginning of the conversation. While I was explaining that I had recently been in the office with my son, she repeatedly interrupted me and kept asking, “Was it America’s Best?” instead of allowing me to finish speaking. As someone who runs a business myself, I understand how important front-desk staff are. The person confirming appointments is often the first impression and the face of the company. Because of that, professionalism, patience, and basic courtesy matter a lot. During the call, I was simply trying to explain that I wasn’t sure whether my own health insurance includes vision coverage as an adult, but I do know my son’s vision care is covered through VSP. Instead of being able to explain that, I felt like I was being talked over and not heard. The interaction felt uncomfortable enough that I ultimately called back and canceled my appointment. If someone is already confrontational or dismissive over the phone, it’s not someone I feel comfortable dealing with in person. I rarely take the time to leave negative reviews, but the experience was unpleasant enough that I felt it was worth mentioning. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as interactions like this can easily discourage customers from returning. - Jaylyn

The eye doctor at this location is outstanding. He gives thorough eye exams for contact lenses and eyeglasses from myself and my wife and we've been going here for years. The staff is very conscientious and friendly. I highly recommend them!

Went in to get prescription and have glasses tightened. Visit previously was dealing with very uninterested little communication not personable showed lack of knowledge on the glasses sales reps. Today’s visit was a far cry better. Shylee was friendly knowledgeable helpful and a joy to encounter. Certainly an asset to your team!!

Thought I was being dramatic with my complaints about Leanne at the front desk after my experience this morning over the phone, but turns out this is a common experience. Had to repeat myself multiple times then told a random made up story about how they extended the date on my expired contacts in October after I told her multiple times I had got a whole new exam and purchased brand new contacts at said time and she continuously tried to tell me it was my previous prescription after I once again stated I got a whole new exam and new boxes as if I wouldn’t know if my contacts were brand new or not, and there some how was no record of this purchase on her end. (I stated I had receipt and purchase amount which she finally admitted she didn’t know what happened.) Was placed on hold 3 times with no end result and an attitude. Thankfully she left a note and Kayla called me back with no problems and somehow my prescription was good and could be ordered. Kayla was very sweet and friendly over the phone !! I never write reviews or complain and also had no intentions too but after the 3rd phone call I was made to feel like I was in the wrong for simply stating that what she was saying was false and ended with a nasty ill leave it to my manager.
