Gwen waited on me and helped me tremendously because I have several health issues. She was professional but most of all she was very kind. She also was very efficient and knowledgeable. She made my experience very wonderful!!

Most awful experience. I’d like to say I’ve been a customer with Americas best for about ten years, and now I have two sons who both need glasses as well. I normally go to the Anderson, SC location but they were booked pretty far out, so I took a chance on the Athens location for my 12 year old son’s most recent exam. This time, he was ready to try contact lenses, so I booked the contact exam. The exam itself went great, and I left after paying for two pairs of glasses and they had to order his trial contact lenses. The told me that he had to be present when I picked up the trial lenses because he needed to have a 15 minute “class” on putting them in. I scheduled his appointment for 4:00, picked him up from school early, and made the 1 hour drive to Athens. About halfway there, I realized we were running behind, so I called them to make sure they knew that. They then informed me that they had actually cancelled the appointment earlier that day and I’d need to reschedule. I was already more than halfway there, so I told them that I was still coming in to pick up his glasses, and asked if I could just have the trial contacts to take home, so I could teach him myself. I’ve been wearing contacts since I was 12. They told me they wouldn’t give me the contacts, and that the class was necessary. Once I got to the Athens store, I ask them if there was any way they could just do the class while we were there because we live an hour away. They refused. I asked for their upcoming appointment availabilities, and they were all during the week, during school hours. At that point, I asked for his medical records from his most recent visit, picked up his glasses and left. I then called the Anderson, South Carolina location, and they were able to pull up all of his information from his most recent exam, and have contacts available that can be used as my sons trial pair. They made it so easy, and will allow me to come in and pick them up and sit down with him in store and they will show him how to put the contacts in. It just doesn’t need to be that difficult. I would like to mention that the man I dealt with in the store was named “Gwyn/ Gwen” He was very rude both over the phone and in person.

Wonderful service and overall experience!! Dr. Mills and the ENTIRE TEAM!!! My husband and I appreciated the All hands on deck approach with teamwork. Dr. Mills is great! He explained our vision needs and made it easy for us to understand. We picked out our glasses being guided throughout the process. Folks it is a process but worth it To SEE..Our eyeglasses were ready faster than expected. I could go on.. You don’t see service like this anymore. It’s very refreshing thank you!!
