America’s Best Optometrist

Very impressed by the service at this store! Despite the handful of clients coming in at the same time, everyone was treated with positivity and enthusiasm. When it was our turn, Jonathan, the store manager, helped us to navigate the insurance costs and helped us understand every step to getting a rebate, which was so helpful! He also tightened up and thoroughly cleaned our existing glasses without us even asking. Such a surprise and wonderful experience. I would recommend this location for your vision needs.

The people here were very nice and communicative. I found the process for my eye exam to be very easy and I loved the options they had! They were also open to fixing my crappy glasses and get them properly fit for me. Great service!

Scheduler needs to do better at not deterring away current patients. After scheduling a follow up appointment that the doctor recommended post pregnancy, I was met with hostility by the scheduler. It was clear she took no effort to even open the appointment because she claimed I didn’t have insurance even though it was listed and used at this location previously. She was incredibly rude and acted like I was wasting her time. I will never return to this location. Hopefully she gets fired before other patients are pushed to other locations as well.

Very disappointing experience at this America’s Best location. Staff were openly complaining about other customers and criticizing newer employees on the sales floor, which felt extremely unprofessional. Dr. Wyssman was also grumpy and short with me, to the point that I didn't ask further questions because I felt like I was irritating him. When I picked up my glasses, there was red marker ink on the lenses, and after cleaning them, I found that the new glasses don’t improve my distance vision at all. My two-year-old pair from another America’s Best location actually works better. Between the unprofessional atmosphere, uncomfortable exam experience, and disappointing final product, I'm going to avoid this location.

I had a great experience with this America's Best location. I am in FL for the winter and my frames broke. Unfortunately, there are few frames that fit me and the ones I like weren't available where I am staying. I called up the Downers Grove location where I got my other frames a few years ago and they checked and had a pair. Eric was very helpful in locating the and getting them shipped down to me. They really went above and beyond my expectations. They were fantastic and I received them quickly! Thanks.
