It began with a genuine greeting as I walked in. It wasn’t that typical “have a seat, we’ll be with you.” The person speaking was standing and looking at me with a smile, awaiting my response. Then the MOST EXCELLENT Dr. Sandy. She was patience, so friendly yet professional and explained everything she was doing where I, not a doctor, could understand. She is a SHINING STAR to the field. I made an error during purchase yet they NEVER blamed me. Rae was outstanding, patient. Myesha (sp?) the general manager was excellent. My experience was really really great.

Please only go here for the amazing Dr. Sandy!!!! That woman is amazing and they need to find her a location with better staff! The receptionist was alright, didn't have much interaction with her other than her asking me if I had vision insurance. The technician was very patient with my two kids which I appreciated. The Doctor was incredible as usual!!! My kids have seen her before. My son needs glasses for the first time so we went out and started looking at frames. No one asked if we needed any help or if we were looking for anything in particular. Instead there was a young man with his back to us on his phone. I asked "Are you the optician?" And he halfway looked our way with a "yeah". I asked him if they had any kids frames that you could stretch out and they wouldn't break (like a Nano or Dilli Dalli frame) and he pointed us towards some metal frames with spring hinges... Not at all what I was referring to. Then I sat with him at his desk while he had our insurance coverage on paper in front of him. What irked me the most was him telling me "We close at 7 so just pick a frame and let's get the ball rolling". First of all!!! It's 6:30 and I JUST got out of the Dr's exam room. Secondly, my son is a first time patient here who's never needed glasses so we're not rushing this process just because you cliose in a half hour. I know my coverage and what my copays are so when he was charging me almost double for transitions on my son's glasses I knew he had no clue what he was doing. As I pointed out to him EXACTLY where on the paper it shows him what my cost was for transitions per my insurance copay. This kid should not be dealing with patients when he himself doesn't know how to read what's right in front of him. Such a shame that the Doctor gives this place it's good ratings but the staff just ruins it for everyone. Will definitely still be seeing Dr Sandy but will be avoiding the optical area until they train them better and teach them some manners.
If I could give this business a negative rating I would. DO NOT GO HERE. They are extremely unprofessional, with minimal knowledge about the optical industry. Very poor customer service was demonstrated by the staff and customers deserve BETTER. I will drive 30 minutes to go to the next location with better service moving forward.
Poor customer service from a group of unprofessional women. I greeted all with a smile and was given unwelcoming gestures back. I was asked if I’d be using insurance but I made an appointment for the sale which I wasn’t expecting to use insurance for. However, the woman who checked me in assumed I needed the appointment with insurance. She asked me if I still even wanted an appointment and I said yes. She pointed the back and said sit in those blue chairs. No further information was given and about 10 minutes past my appointment time, I left. I’ve been wearing glasses forever and the treatment here was very off putting to say the least. I service women daily and I take pride in going places that will treat me with the same respect I give my clients. Do better ladies. Smile and have grace with your clientele of all ages. Being nice nasty is not cute and we need to grow past that as a community.
I really enjoyed my visit to America’s best on 87th, the staff was so fun, they were friendly. I heard a lady answering the phone but the way she answered she let the callers know that she had people in the store and had some on hold, I think she was the manager but she handled the rush very well without getting irritated or frustrated. I know 87th could be a hassle just because of location but they were all pretty calm, cool, and collected. I would most definitely recommend and return.
