America’s Best Optometrist

I had a great experience at America's Best with Avis. After my eye exam in February, the Meta frames I wanted weren’t in stock, but I was told to check back in a few months. About three weeks ago I spoke with Avis, who explained the frames still hadn’t arrived and kindly took my name and number to call me as soon as they came in. Today, Avis followed through—she called me 30 minutes before the store closed and helped me secure my Meta order. She and the other gentleman were professional, knowledgeable, and gave me excellent care throughout the process. Even more, I spoke with Avis over the phone, and she also assisted my wife with her needs. She’ll be scheduling an appointment for her new Meta glasses as well. Thank you, Avis, for the outstanding service and attention to detail. It really made the whole experience smooth and positive.

Today’s appointment was fantastic. Amirah the optometrist technician was great. She explained that I would have a virtual appointment with the doctor but she would be doing all of the testing prior. She explained everything and did a thorough job. Once all testing was done, she contacted the optometrist and she came on screen and did the test that she had to do with Amirah’s assistance. After everything was discussed and finalized, I met with Avis and she finished me up. Avis talked about the glasses that I ordered and the different type of lens options as well as the different type of contact lens options I could get and she explained everything thoroughly. Avis, made sure all of my insurance information was entered properly and instead of paying close to $600, my final bill was $75. This was the best experience I’ve had with America’s Best in all the years I’ve been coming here.

I had an excellent experience. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Marcus had patience as I chose my eye glasses and he explained my insurance and what all of my elegibilities. Nafia helped me choose my frames and she was very honest with me and I love her choices. Amira and Janiyah answered my questions and prepared me for the doctor, which was a new experience for me: meeting the doctor virtually. Overall 10/10 experience.

Above my expectations: Never pay attention to that company, but walking to Walmart and in serious need of an eye doctor, I stopped by to check prices... They scheduled to the very next day and I was extremely pleased to see the quality of their equipment and the knowledge of their staff, all of them! At the end, no pressure to buy anything. I asked and immediately received the entire copy of the exams records, in addition to the glasses prescription. They also offered me 30 days to use the $80 I paid for their excellent service, as house-credit, in case I decide to buy 2 glasses from them. Since I will have to buy at least one, anyway, I will likely use the $80 as down payment for a backup extra one. Highly recommended.

The experience started off great with Mina, the pre-test tech, then I was met with Janiya, sorry if the name isn’t spelled correctly , she was awesome as well and so helpful. Then I was sat with a man with twist , he asked for help because he had a phone client , that was fine, he barely wanted to speak with me or greet me — then I had Anthony, he was the same rep that checked me in, he was so rude and not helpful didn’t explain much of anything. I haven’t had an experience like this ever, he didn’t even offer me to try the trials on to make sure they fit well. Then a lady with a turban was staring the entire time, nathia, just rude. Won’t be back ! Been going to America’s best for over 15 years.
