The first exam my prescription was wrong so I went back in for a 2nd exam and they determined that progressives may serve me better. They fixed the incorrect vision in the left lens. I told them I’d try progressives and they said to wear them for 2-3 weeks before I make any final decisions because it takes time for eyes to adjust. I paid the additional $140 and I wore them for 3 weeks faithfully but I kept tripping down stairs and they just weren’t working out. I went in to change it back to single vision. The woman took the lenses out and slid them to me. She said I could keep them in case I change my mind. She said she’d see me in about 2 weeks. I inquired about the $140 refund. She said she wasn’t sure how she could make that happen. I told her that it’s guaranteed. She took the lenses back. I said, “So now you’re going to take those away to throw them in the garbage? You were going to let me walk out $140 poorer with lenses that don’t work.” She said, “It looks like you didn’t pay for scratch and glare resistance on your first pair so that will be $60 if you want it.” I was livid. I did pay for that the first time. She said she wasn’t sure how she could justify the refund. I encouraged her to call someone to help her. I told them they have bad business practices and I won’t be back, unless Gods forbid I have trouble with this pair. I’ve gone there my whole life and was never treated poorly. I’m really disappointed. She ended up refunding the $140 AND making sure my lenses had the coverage without me having to pay AGAIN. But it shouldn’t have been a time consuming fight to get it.

I have been wearing glasses since around 2002, and Dr. Hernandez diagnosed me recently with a *slight* astigmatism, and honestly that -.25 astigmatism made a WORLD of a difference. He explained it was probably causing confusion in my brain between what the two eyes were seeing, which I’m assuming is also a factor to my frequent migraines. I can honestly say in my 24 years of wearing glasses, that this is the *best* I have ever seen in my life. :) it was reminiscent of the first time I put a pair of glasses on and it was like “wow the trees have leaves not green blobs.” I truly appreciate being able to see, and he was very nice and well informed.
I was experiencing vision problems for the first time, and Dr. Hernández took excellent care of me. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly and made the entire process easy and comfortable. My glasses turned out perfect, and I’m extremely happy with the results. I would recommend this place without a doubt!
Consistently good care at a good price. The eye club is literally $150 for three years of exams. This is better value than most eye exam insurance plans if you use contacts. If you just use glasses maybe the eye insurance might be more cost effective. Anyway, I believe it’s a poor decision that they no longer provide PD unless you purchase glasses from them, as it has lead to negative reviews. However, for everyone’s information, your PD remains constant throughout your life. So, please write it down and continue ordering from Zenni or another online store in the future. Don’t pay for overpriced glasses.
This was my first time coming here Dr. Roberto Hernandez was excellent he explained everything and help me with what I needed. Amanda was so helpful and a very nice person she explained everything to me in a great way 😎
