In 30 years, this was one of the worst eye exams I've ever had. I was referred here by a coworker, so I'm glad it worked out for her, but my experience was very different. I HAVE used AB in the past, not this location, amd it was fine. What concerned me most was that there was no doctor on site and the exam is remote and this wasn't disclosed anywhere before my appointment. I only learned about it after I had already arrived and checked in. Throughout the exam, I felt like something wasn't right. I know my own vision, and I should have stopped the exam several times, but I was busy and really needed an updated prescription. Even the followup with the on-site tech was wrong. He said with the lenses I was using I should have 20/20. I said absolutely not, images were still fuzzy. He assured me there were corrections that would be made from his assessment and the doctors exam that would eventually result in. 20/20 with the final rx. Sigh. Unfortunately, the prescription I received was grossly incorrect, and I ultimately had to pay another eye doctor for a new exam and a corrected prescription. I understand that virtual exams may work well for some, but based on my experience, we can use all the tech we like, but an actual doctor needs to be on site for verification and final reviews.

The doctor is great. The folks that work here are very nice. I'm not sure they know how to fit progressive lenses. The first time returning it was an adjustment. Next they were remade but, no remeasuring. Next time I purchased a new frame and had them remade again. Funny thing is the right lens has been perfect every time. The left is still not correct. Last time was 6/12. I should go back but don't know that it will make any difference.
I have used them multiple times for me and my kids and they are great!! I got 2 pairs of glasses and an eye exam for under $100! I was so thankful. I originally just got the eye exam for 69 and they told me I could get the 2 pairs of glasses as long as I came back by a certain date. So after a week I came back and picked out 2 pairs. They were very nice and helpful! Thank you to Americas Best!
I have no idea why this America’s Best location is so underrated. My experience here was really great! And everything was pretty seamless, I was in and out of there in an hour and a half. I went for Contacts and Glasses Eye Exam. I booked online, and saw they only had afternoon appointments for the next day, but I called in the morning and they kindly moved my appointment to the morning. And yes, an actual person from the location answered. When I arrived I was greeted by Abby, the technician. Filled out some paperwork, because while I’ve used America’s Best before, it’s usually in Florida. And the went right in to the initial part of my exam with Abby a few minutes later. Abby was very kind and had a great demeanor. She was also thorough in her initial examination. I really appreciated her for that. She’s also quite fun to talk to. Then I saw the optometrist, Dr. Joel Wynne almost immediately after seeing Abby. Dr. Wynne is a man of few words. There’s not a lot of banter with him (or hardly any), but don’t let that fool you. He is probably one of the best optometrist I’ve gone to. He was absolutely thorough and strategic in the way he conducted his examination. He listened to my eye sight issues, and proceeded to address them completely. What is more he told me I didn’t even need to dilate my pupils! Saved me money, because he’s using a new machine that allowed him to check my eye health without dilation. And by the end of our consultation I did get a chuckle out of him, so I think he takes a while to warm up, but it’s there. At the end of the day, you’re not there to strike a chat, you’re there to make sure your eye sight is taken care off by a great professional in their field. No fuss, just great at what he does and proficient. Lastly, I spoke with Marcus to close out my experience after the Eye Exam. Marcus was very kind, patient, and pleasant to speak with. He walked me through all my option to get glasses and pay for my examination. He answered every question I have, and I am known for my questions. He was informed, and ready to help in any way I needed. It is to be noted that he also made me feel listened to, when I said that I needed my order like to be shipped to Florida. (I travel between states a lot). He assured me that it would be seamless and that I was able to get what I needed done. Overall, I had a fantastic experience here, and the team was a huge part of it. That’s not to forget saying that even the selections for budget glasses were too notch! So don’t be dissuaded by bad reviews here, this team definitely has it together! 😊
*****They don’t take one of the most popular vision insurances, VSP, and they don’t tell you till you have already had the exam so you have to pay full price even though you have vision insurance***other than that the wait is ridiculous, they don’t dialate eyes even though you sign a paper to do so, and the doctor is kind of condescending if youre there for a normal exam. So in conclusion this place is not worth it and run pretty terribly.
