They’re great at what they do and the staff are friendly with smile. They have 2 great Optometrist who are very knowledgeable at what they do. They also have great variety of glasses to choose from and this is a good store to visit so if you’re in need for a eye examine and glasses give them a try you will not be disappointed but you don’t have to take my word for it just use your own opinion for yourself 👍👍
I was hopeful but disappointed. I ordered two pairs of glasses on 7/19/25 and finally decided to get a refund on 8/13/2025. I kept calling and checking in with no luck. After being put on hold countless times, calling on numerous days, and waiting for someone to check my status, I finally talked with the Manager. The Manager told me the frames I bought were actually discontinued and that was the hold up. Then I waited some more days for the lens to ship in for the off the shelf frames. In the meantime I went in to get the pair that was ready and they had a big blue ink stain around the rim of one of the lens. Long story short, after many inconveniences, I decided to get a refund. I never did get the other pair of glasses. Who knows if I ever would have. The Manager did offer $50 off my total purchase for the inconvenience but at the end of the day I just need glasses and can't wait months.
I went there in April of this year. They told me to leave my number to get an appointment.October, they called me for a December 20th appointment at 3:20 p.m. Friday, December 19th they called to confirm. I told them I needed to come in earlier do to a personal issue. I was told to come in as a walk-in. For two hours I watched other walk-ins get called that came in after me. Then a woman came in and about four minutes after she got there, they called her in. I waited six months to get an appointment and two months til the appointment. As I was leaving, I was told I should have been called. I decided to leave. Then I was asked, did I want to get another appointment? After eight months I have chosen to take my business elsewhere along with the people I referred to this place. America's Best is America's Worst. Disappointed eternally.
Had to go back to have glasses redone about 3 times after my initial visit. First time, the prescription was not what my doctor had ordered. I only found out this after going back to my eye doctor and they were able to see that America Best had not put the prescription in correctly. America Best did the glasses over and when I went to pick them up, the glasses were still not correct. Then the third time I went to pick them up, the glasses still were wrong and the young lady that helped me that day suggested I needed a different frame to correct the problem. So I had to pick out new frames. They were very cordial but it was very time consuming having to go back and forth to get the glasses corrected. I never had this problem with other places that have made my glasses in the past. I'm on the fence as to going back in the future. On the last visit, I just decided to take the glasses to get this behind me. They did give me the extra pair, which were still not 100% , to comp me for all the trouble. In the end, I still have glasses that I have problems wearing. But again, I do have to acknowledge that they were very kind during this process. Florence SC location.
