The moment I walked in the staff immediately greeted me. The lady at the front desk took the time to call my insurance company and saved me money on my visit =) the assistant doctor was very thorough making sure to sterilize all equipment before usage. And Doctor Andrea was amazing! Very professional at all times! She made me feel comfortable and safe by reassuring that I would be fine and in good hands bc I was extremely nervous and scared getting a dilation test. She explained everything before testing and answered all questions. I really appreciate the patience she had with me. The staff all made my experience very pleasant and I was in and out with no unnecessary waiting around. I highly recommend this location!

I arrived for an 11am appointment 30 minutes early. Sat there until 12:30 pm and then was informed by the front desk lady that it would be at least another 2-hour wait. There was no intention to inform me of an almost 4 hour wait for what should have been a 45 minute appointment. I have been coming to America's Best for over 15 years. The lack of in-person care after the pandemic already makes America's Best a bad choice, the lack of concern for customers time makes them an unacceptable option moving forward. There are literally dozens of optometrists within a 20-minute drive, do better.
Spoke with receptionist about the 2pair for $95. She pointed out a section of glasses for me to pick from . Picked out 2 nice frames. She set up an appointment for a eye exam at 9:50 I had to wait until 10: 24 to get my eyes examined. Once that was completed everything was smooth sailing. Everyone was nice and pleasant. I will have my glasses in about a week. Great price for 2 pairs. A little more with add ons, but its worth it.
I have been going to this Americas best for years and have seen the in person doctors and the remote doctors. I have to say phenomenal people work here. This year I was put into prism glasses and it was a change. Headaches for the first few days but once I powered through, it has made all the difference in my vision. Thought I was going to need to go into reading glasses early but Dr. Gonzalez got me reading much better. No matter who the doctor, I will be back.
Today 4/17/26- I had an appointment with the Americas best in Hampton Va at coliseum crossing. I had been waiting a month and a half for this appointment I get to the appointment and they don’t have an onsite doctor which I explained to the rep when I scheduled the appointment I need a doctor to sign off on some paperwork I have and was assured that it can be done. Why would she schedule me an appointment when that site doesn’t even have an onsite optometrist is BEYOND unsatisfactory. Also Americas best advertising walk in appointment so I got to the Americas best on Jefferson Ave in Hampton. I get there the. Office rep said if th 10:30 doesn’t show we can slot you in. It’s 10:40. I got back to the desk and told I cannot be seen until 2:30 even thought the10:30 did not show up. UNPROFFESIONAL to say the least. Then the office manager comes over and basically says the doctor can’t do it but no one even talked to the doctor to ask if I could be squeezed in. And then offered me a discount. I DO NOT WANT A DISCOUNT. I want to know why I arrived at 10:15, told to wait til 10:30. And now at 10:55 saying I cannot be seen. I will NEVER go to Americas best again and I will try to seek legal action against them for false advertising. This is just another business that has gone down the drain. They do not do their jobs properly and it’s very unprofessional and unsatisfactory if I could give them no stars I would.
