I’ve had a great experience here. My optometrist, Dr. Michelle Thelen is very attentive and knowledgeable and she always takes the time to answer all my questions. My treatment has been going very well, and the staff is friendly, professional, helpful, and responsive. Parking is plentiful, making visits even more convenient. Overall, an excellent experience. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Michelle Thelen is seriously the best eye doctor you could ever have. My daughter had an eye infection during finals week and she made sure to be able to see her right away even taking my call over the weekend. Also, my eyes are seriously challenging and she is the doctor I trust the most with my eyes! She has the best personality possible for a doctor to boot.. Highly highly recommend her and her husband too who we also see sometimes for emergency visits at Annandale Eyecare!

I visited Dr. Courtney Thelen this afternoon for a straightforward eye exam to confirm my glasses prescription was still spot-on. (My previous optometrist had retired and it's been a few years since my last exam.) From the moment I walked in, his front desk staff and technician set the perfect tone—professional, courteous, and highly competent, making the entire process smooth and reassuring. Dr. Thelen's "chairside" manner was truly exceptional. He took the time to explain every finding in clear, understandable terms, ensuring I felt confident and informed about my eye health. The overall experience was outstanding—it's rare to leave a routine exam smiling, but that's exactly what happened here. When it came time to look at lenses/frames, etc. there was no high pressure sales or "up-selling" - just offering options to choose from, which I really appreciated as well. I can't recommend Dr. Thelen and his team highly enough. If you're seeking top-notch care with warmth and expertise, look no further!

Dr. Courtney was absolutely amazing. It’s been 19 years I have been seeing eye doctor in different locations and never had the experience I had with Dr. Courtney. He explained the situation about dry eyes step by step. And I’m very happy to follow his directions for a better life.
