Anthony provides one of the most curated, bespoke eyewear experiences I’ve ever had. I’ve been collecting eyewear for years, and after visiting countless opticians, I can confidently say he’s among the very best in New York City. His professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to truly listen are exceptional. Rather than simply selling frames or lenses, he takes the time to understand the individual and carefully curates the perfect eyewear, for the individual skin type. His knowledge is second to none—from base tints and gradients to Transitions lenses and the latest lens technology. He explains every option clearly and tailors recommendations to exactly what you’re looking for. I had 10-15 pairs that needed to be customized, and Anthony went far beyond what anyone would reasonably expect. He even came in early on his day off, got me a coffee before hand and spent hours with me discussing lens options, comparing colours, and making sure every pair was exactly right. His communication throughout the entire process was outstanding, and you never feel rushed. I live in a different state, yet I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my frames. As someone with a substantial eyewear collection, I’ve been “around the block,” and Anthony is simply in a league of his own. If you’re serious about eyewear and want someone who genuinely cares about achieving the best possible result, Anthony Aiden is the person to see. Truly a cut above everyone else!

Dropped into the store on a Sunday after spending the weekend in NYC, not realizing appointments are recommended. Anthony let me in anyways and showed me his current selection of JMM frames in different color ways and lens options. After finding the perfect pair, he made adjustments to the frame on the spot for me to fit my face better as well as took down measurements for when I come back for custom lenses. Anthony was friendly and knowledgeable, highly recommend.

I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed Anthony Aiden. I’ve been getting contacts and glasses here for 15 years. They always keep a box of my prescription lenses on hand and have literally shipped them around the world for me. Anthony, the owner, is a great guy and a true rarity of a business owner. The team recognize and greet me warmly whether I show up in person or call on the phone. It’s a real neighborhood business, staffed by really great people. I haven’t lived in the East Village since 2015 but I’ve always remained loyal, which is a testament to the service they provide and the quality of their products. Support a local business, you absolutely will not be sorry.

Anthony Aiden and team have been great to me with excellent service for 7 pairs of glasses over the years. Brandon, Austin, and Anthony have always pulled through on providing results I didn’t think possible and providing insight that helped me make decisions I sometimes needed their opinion on (which color looks best, combination of blue light or not etc). Been working with Anthony for over 15 years. While there are many options for eyewear, his store has a the best selection of modern highend frames for both optical and sunwear. Great service and helps you select the right pair without pushing a particular brand or up selling lenses. Great neighborhood institution but worthy of the journey if you don't live in lower Manhattan.
