Dr O’Brien and her staff provided expert care. This was my first visit to their office. Dayiesha was a great support as I called back in reference to a prescription . She carefully communicated my need to the doctor and called back with a timely response. I found the team to truly care
Pay more attention to what you’re charged for. I had my annual eye exam done with purchase of contacts, however, apparently they charged me for the name brand contacts instead of the in house contacts (that I usually order) and they entered the wrong benefits amount (too much) to use towards the contacts causing me to later owe a greater balance. The billing contact is not great at answering the phone or returning calls, so took several weeks to find out why I received a large invoice after I already paid a large amount the day of service.
APEX, Excellent doctor and staff in office! The billing department who is with “Elevate My Eye” is horrible! They barely answer calls and wait 8 months to send you their mistake. Get it together!! I do not believe my eye dr knows how the billing department is messing up the Apex image. Again, I’m only with Apex because the doctor and “office staff” are awesome!
During my first visit Dr. Heath examined my eyes and indicated I had small cataracts and recommended that I have them removed. I did not want cataract surgery. The following year I wanted my lenses stronger. Dr. Heath recommended cataract surgery again. She further stated Medicare will pay for it and it would improve my vision. I had the surgery in 2024 with the Columbia Eye Ctr. I have not seen an improvement in my vision. Dr. Heath indicated her examine showed improvements. Since the surgery I cannot see the charts clearly in both outer eyes. Now I am experiencing floaters in the right eye which interferes with reading and driving. I will be looking for a new eye specialist.
