After our visit to Apple Optometry, we left with a prescription for our son and paid over $500 for his glasses. Today, we finally had his follow-up appointment with Kaiser to confirm that the prescription was correcting his vision. Instead, we learned from the ophthalmologist that Dr. Carol had prescribed the wrong prescription. Our ophthalmologist's exact words were, "It's criminal that she would provide him a prescription when she could not fully perform any test." We trusted Dr. Carol's professional judgment, and because of that negligence, our son was left wearing an incorrect prescription after we spent hundreds of dollars on glasses that were never appropriate for his needs. This experience is unacceptable. We will be filing a formal complaint with the appropriate licensing board regarding the care our son received.
