The doctors are great, but the inconsistent wait time and the receptionist being rude was a bummer. Text messages say to plan for 1 to 2 hours for appointments, and after sitting in the waiting room for two hours, I kindly went up to ask for an update in which she told me there’s two people ahead of me. That’s crazy seeing how I was already waiting for two hours. So I said I’m gonna have to come back another time and she rudely rolled her eyes, told me to go have a seat and said this is why we tell you to plan for 2 to 3 hours. Seriously? The text messages say plan for 1-2 hours for dilation appointments (which we weren’t doing). Even if I planned for 2-3 hours…I was already waiting for 2 hours and with two people in front of me that might take 2-3 hours each? Like…what? That’s a hot mess and having a rude receptionist just makes it worse. So if you make it past all that, the doctors are great though and the office is clean with toys for the kids to play with.

I walked into Arizona Eye Consultants with an urgent referral for an eye exam for a surgery for my newborn. Having never been there, I expected I would just walk out with a scheduled appointment. However, when I explained my son’s condition, Aubrie found the only provider in the office that does the necessary exam and asked where she could add my son on. Dr Imbornoni (being an angel) said she would see him immediately! These two women managed to prioritize my son’s health and care so fantastically and saw us same day. This eye exam was a huge stepping stone to obtaining my baby’s surgery and I am forever grateful! They have no idea how much their kindness means to me!
This was our first time seeing Dr. Bhakta. She did a great job - answered questions and related well with my kids. My frustrations are with the business practices. All texts/emails before say 1-2 hours for appointment. The phone call 24 hours before say it will be 2-3 hours. Also frustrated about medical exam vs prescription exam. We did what we have done in the past and when we checked out I was told I had to pay for my prescriptions. I was told if I didn’t want to pay for a prescription I would have to schedule another appointment for just a prescription check. Beware and know why you are going a medical exam or prescription check.
I was referred to Dr Imbornoni as an adult to pediatrics. A pediatric Dr has better expertise with adults with strabismus. Dr Imbornoni and her staff are an excellent care team. I couldn't have asked for a better Dr or caretaker to assist me with all of my needs concerning my vision, surgery and after care. I highly recommend any adult to Dr Imbornoni she is excellent in her craft. Answers any and all concerns!
The Dr was great. But at the last minute they charge you with unexpected fees. I called the day before and was told I didn't have to pay out of pocket and was hit with an unexpected fee after the appointment. They had sick kids in the office with one that looked like he had the measles or chicken pocks.
