First went to Wills Eye Emergency and got my wife diagnosed and some prescriptions. But the pain was too intense and withing three days she could not take it anymore. This wonderful group gave her an appointment the afternoon of her call. When we arrived the place was busy and the staff was treating many people. We were checked in quickly and took a seat. Our appointment was at 3 and by 3:10 her name was called. Bre did a wonderful job doing the initial assessment, but time came for her to go to the next patient. She overheard my wife tell me that she was getting an upset stomach. About 3 minutes later Bre came through the door with crackers and a snack to help settle my wife's stomach in preparation for the main exam and medications. Then Doctor Armstrong and Leslie came in and working as a team, examined my much in pain wife and determined a course of action. The were delicate as can be when handling her orbital region and explained each step. After completing their examination and record keeping we were given some of the additional medications needed and told to come back tomorrow for a follow-up. Leslie and Bre were so pleasant in explaining what the papers instructed and rejoicing that my bride's pain level had dropped considerably. Thank you Doctor Armstrong, Leslie, and Bre. And thank you to all those who are the support crew. Even the staff who checked us out and set up her appointment for tomorrow where friendly and engaging. So now I know who will be my opthamologist as well.

I'm not sure where all the negativity stems from, but over the years I've had nothing but positive experiences. I had an "eye emergency" and the woman who scheduled my appointment over the phone was super kind and helpful. She squeezed me in the next morning. When I arrived a half an hour late, and without my insurance card, I was still treated with a kind professionalism and they still got me in to see the doctor. Dr. Armstrong was also patient and knowledgeable. I've recommended this office to friends, and will continue to use them as my eye care provider.
When I expressed genuine surprise at not being able to get an appointment for an eye exam and Rx for an eyeglass prescription sooner than 6 weeks, I was told I was "lucky" because a week ago it would have been at least 2 months. Never mind! Addendum: I was contacted 24 hours after this post - and got an appointment for the next day. Thanks for taking my complaint seriously and making an effort to resolve my disappointment. THANK YOU JULES!
- I was told to see an ophthalmologist after having an eye exam for glasses. I asked my contacts whom they recommended, and someone said their mother goes to Dr. Armstrong. I called Armstrong George Cohen Will Ophthalmology in Abington. The office lady refused to make a new patient appointment for me unless I provided a specific "referral," despite the fact that I already have my exam notes and excellent insurance. She said I needed to call LensCrafters to get that. Turning away a new patient who has both a clinical need and excellent insurance is ridiculous. If this is how they handle a simple intake call, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere to a practice that actually values new patients.
Unfortunately, my experience with the scheduling team at Armstrong Georger Cohen Will Ophthalmology involved very poor customer service. The staff I interacted with were rude and unprofessional, which left me feeling dismissed rather than supported. Customer service should match the level of care patients expect from a medical institution.
