Associates In Eyecare

The receptionist Jamie was pleasant and helpful at check-in and check-out. Shari helped my wife and me to pick out glasses for both of us. She took time with us and we never felt rushed. Dr. Rickel was great too. She also took time with us, answered all questions and even took time to run a additional test on my eyes to check a concern she had. We never felt rushed with her either. We already set up appointments for next year!!!

Needed a new eye doctor because the one I was going to since childhood had recently retired. Came here to the Hemlock office and so far so good! Dr Engel was super cool and down to earth and made everything easy to understand. Staff was helpful in getting me set up with my new paper of glasses. Had an overall great experience at my first eye exam appointment here!

This was my first visit to Associates In Eye Care. The staff is very friendly and professional. My appointment was at 9:00 and I was in the exam room by 9:05! Dr. Engel was wonderful! He listened to my concerns, was very thorough and determined to get me in a comfortable pair of lenses. He’s extremely patient and caring. I would highly recommend Associates In Eye Care and Dr. Engel! Thank you all for a wonderful visit!

Never going back, in March 2026 my wife and I went into the office in Hemlock for eye exam and new glasses, when I had my eye exam the eye Dr took my current plastic frame glasses and tried to bend them and broke them handed them back to me and said oops sorry ,at that point I have no vision. my wife and I got new glasses and are charged 1402.30 and wasn't aware of the 4% card charge and told my wife they need the payment that day,then my wife had to drive home with her eyes dilated to get the check book and could bearly see , then we looked over the bill and saw inconsistency in charges we called them and asked for a itemized bill and they hand wrote on the bill the charges and found a 48.00 overcharge then said that they credited our account, July 14th they send us another bill for 41.00 👍🙄 They do not know how to bill or account. Beware!

Everyone in the office was very nice. Dr Engel explained everything about my eyes thoroughly. I was happy with my care there.
