I arrived at the location early for my appointment to see they had moved. I got to the new site 5 minutes passed my scheduled appointment start time to find a closed business. Prior to today, I received multiple reminders and confirmations about this appointment. When I called the number ten minutes passed my appointment start time, it went to voicemail with a message “the mailbox for this number is full.” A blond employee with keys arrived 50 minutes late to open the business. She did not acknowledge being late and wouldn’t make eye contact with anyone. All of my phone interactions with other staff leading up to the scheduled appointment were positive. I did not stay for my appointment as I had to return to my job. I will not be rebooking.

My experience was a comfortable one. Staff was very professional and respectful. I was very please with my eye exam. Everything was explained to me about my vision issues, which I understood completely. I had no problem communicating with the doctor, she was awesome. I would recommend others to Alantic Optical.

I have had eyeglass prescriptions filled at several locations over the years, including with designer frames and every available add-on, and the most I have ever paid was around $600. At this location, I paid nearly $1,000 even with insurance coverage. What my insurance covered seemed irrelevant, as the manager appears to use a pricing system that overrides or exceeds the insurance contribution toward the prescription and lenses. I actually visited this location years ago and chose not to return for the same reason. Unfortunately, I only followed through this time because my insurance changed and the location was convenient. I will not be filling another prescription here again. The one positive aspect of my experience was the two assistants who worked directly with customers. They were kind, professional, and polite throughout the process. I sincerely hope they are compensated well, because their customer service is what will keep people coming back. I dont feel confident about my prescription being correct. It sounded like some uncertainty and I am hoping for the best. The doctor was very nice. I am hoping that agter spending so much money my prescription comes out how its supposed to. I keep seeing the bad feedback when told to adjust to a prescription for a week. I was told the same thing so I am already feeling unsettled about my prescription being what it is supposed to be. I hope every add on paid for is in my lens. Hoping for the best.

The staff here is absolutely the best - warm, kind, professional and so knowledgeable. I went for an eye appointment and a custom contact lens order and they were so welcoming and wonderful!!

Very Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience I had an extremely disappointing experience with Atlantic Optical in Brooklyn. I literally just got off the phone with a young woman who was unnecessarily rude and hostile when I asked a simple question regarding my son’s prescription. I was calling on behalf of my son because he told me the office refused to provide him with a copy of his prescription. Instead of calmly explaining the policy or helping in any way, the staff member I spoke with had a very poor attitude and spoke to me in a dismissive and aggressive manner. I was honestly taken aback by how unpleasant the interaction was. I live in New Jersey and am not accustomed to being treated this way, especially when I was simply advocating for my child and asking a straightforward question. There is no excuse for that level of unprofessionalism in a healthcare-related business. Customer service matters, and this experience fell far below acceptable standards. I would not recommend this office based on how I was treated.
