I appreciated my diagnosis. I just wish that I would have had a bit more info regarding how to prevent it and hopefully, not have it get worse while I'm waiting for my follow-up. Also, having a summary after your visit is always great. I had to ask the front desk for a summary of what was done and what condition I was diagnosed with. Just a summary would have been nice without having to ask for it.

All of the staff were great and very happy and friendly. The atmosphere was great, I have one complain, why does it take 2 hours. I waited in waiting ares for over 1. 5 hours and this happens every time I have an appointment. I know that the Doctors are busy and have other patients. But a 1.5 hour wait is a bit too long . I was there on time.

I have been a patient over a year and I needed to have my eye looked at due to vision changes. I call and the person books me all is good. I drive 40 minutes to get to this appt just for the front desk to tell me the doctor they scheduled me with is out of network and I will have to pay out of pocket to be seen. I ask if I can just get imaging done and it sent to my doctor they say no because the imaging will be under the doctor I was scheduled with and can’t be billed that way I say okay fair but can it be a write off since it was your mistake to begin with? They say “Well TECHNICALLY there’s no write off since you haven’t been seen yet.” The front desk girl was so nice and is the one who caught it but her supervisor and manager are the ones who literally offered no resolution or even tried to accommodate a regular patient that took time off work and drive 40 minutes to get here.

I am from another town and would see Dr. Martinez every other week while seeing my amazing ophlamologist dr green(highly recommend) I recently switched jobs and moved towns which in return had to find all new doctors after years And years, and in a new town so I went to this place, I used to see Dr Martinez(also highly recommend) every other week in my town years ago but he was not at this office soI had to go to this one cause of my home and it being the closest, my eye had flared up so bad and I was in severe pain all weekend and I couldn’t see good at all, when I set apt I told them that and they still had me wait a week, with my diagnosis I would have normally gotten a emergency visit, but that was not offered, however I was unable to work in Monday or Tuesday due to pain and vision handicap as it was inflamed, but they refused to give me a note for Monday and Tuesday, you would have thought I was asking for high dose of pain meds, also this doctor didn’t seem to have much compassion! I am so irritated as I use my eyes all day at work not to mention I was in severe pain! I think I would rather drive the hour and and half to go to old doctor from now on! Oh and he would not refer me to a RA, told me to use different avenues like are you kidding me the whole reason I have to see an RA is because of my eyes however the two girls at the front were amazing sweet young ladies also if you read and can’t find me as a patient I’m under Kelly Guerra for your records

The staff is super at the Austin Retina Associate in Georgetown. My biggest concern is the WAIT TIME to see the doctor. I have waited for over an hour the second time I was there and over TWO hours the first time was there. As a former professional employee for a major corporation, we were always taught to VALUE the customer’s time. This is ridiculous!
