Ave Maria Optical

From my personal experience, I can highly recommend Dr. Del Toro and her staff. They make you feel welcomed from the minute you walk in the door with their kindness and attention. I had a corneal emergency and was seen immediately. After diagnosing the issue, Dr. Del Toro started antibiotics, monitored the situation daily and made herself available after hours until it was completely healed. Dr. Del Toro's professionalism, knowledge and compassion to her patients goes above and beyond. The fact that patients travel long distances to see her is a testament of her dedication to the well-being of her patients. You can count on her to continue providing excellent service to her patients and our community.

I had a great experience with my son- initial visit was very quick as we already had a prescription from another eye doctor. They recommended frames for my son and a few days later we picked them up. Perfect! No complaints.

My eye exam was thorough and never rushed—my doctor took the time to explain everything in detail and answered all my questions with patience and kindness. What impressed me most was the genuine care shown. I never felt like “just another patient”; instead, I felt listened to and valued. The staff also helped me pick out the perfect frames and made the process smooth and enjoyable. It is such a blessing to have a trusted, professional, and compassionate eye doctor right here in Ave Maria. I went to this optical clinic for an eye exam. The first day everything was perfect. The doctor apparently forgot to give me my prescription, and I also forgot to ask for it at the end of the appointment. Then she told me, “Here’s my business card, you can call me if you need anything.” Almost a month later, my glasses broke, so I called the clinic to see if they could send me my prescription. The girl at the front desk said she would send it after 2 p.m. because the doctor had to do it, and at that moment she was on her lunch break. About two hours later, I called again, and she said the doctor was very busy. I understood and said I would call again the next day to see what happened. The next day I called, and the doctor answered. She told me she would try to send it because she was very busy, and if she couldn’t, she would do it Monday morning. I told her I really needed the prescription because my glasses were broken and I can’t see anything without them. I never received anything. Terrible customer service — nothing she did was professional, especially since it’s just a prescription that takes five minutes or less to send. I do not recommend this clinic at all.

I tried to call them two different days. They told me they will call me back. I never got a call back. I waited through the whole day. Never call me back. I called again the next day. Nothing they charged me more than what my insurance was supposed to charge me so they actually owe me money back. My insurance can’t do nothing because it’s all they have to be the one to refund me. The money looks like I’m never getting the money back. It’s either choose my battles. I fight with them or my turn doesn’t do nothing. This place is horrible never never again.
