We recently had an appointment here for my autistic daughter, and I felt compelled to share how grateful I am for the kindness and patience we experienced from the entire staff. As a parent, it can already be very difficult taking an autistic child to appointments, especially unfamiliar environments. When we first walked in and saw how busy the office was, I immediately became worried about how my daughter would handle the wait. To my surprise and relief, we were seen very quickly, which made such a difference for us. While we were in the waiting room, my daughter started becoming upset and fussy. The receptionist immediately jumped into action and kindly asked if my daughter liked to draw. When we said yes, she brought her paper and a highlighter to help comfort and distract her. That small act of kindness meant more than she probably realizes, and I am so grateful to her. Once we were brought back to the room, my daughter became overwhelmed again because she struggles with confined spaces. The staff member who escorted us was incredibly patient and compassionate. She gave my daughter stickers and handled the situation with such understanding and calmness. As parents of autistic children, we unfortunately experience judgment or misunderstanding far too often in public and medical settings. This office was the complete opposite. Every person we encountered treated us with patience, empathy, and respect, and it truly made us feel safe and supported. The doctor also deserves special recognition. He genuinely listened to our concerns without interrupting or dismissing us. That alone is something we do not always experience. He took the time to understand our concerns and wants to continue following up to rule out any possible vision issues, which we deeply appreciate. Thank you to the entire team for making what could have been a very stressful appointment feel manageable and positive. Your kindness did not go unnoticed, and it meant the world to our family.

This office is unbelievably frustrating!!! My child had a biopsy ON HIS EYE, and they are the worst about communicating literally anything with me. Our consultation appointment was rocky, but I chalked that up to a bad day for them, and we had had such positive experiences at the Upland office, so we moved forward with the procedure. After the surgery, Dr.Grant didn't even come out to tell me how it went! His nurse caught him before his next surgery, and he reluctantly answered a few questions. I had to call the office on our way home to ask "his team" about post-op meds. I had to ask the pharmacist what each item was for. Dr. Grant told me he didn't know how long it would take to get results because he doesn't handle that! The nurse at the surgery center kindly told me it usually takes 1-2 weeks. I waited 2 days past 2 weeks before I called and left a message asking for news. Then I waited 2 more days before I called and talked to a human, who said she would leave a message for Dr. Grant. The next afternoon, I talked to a different person who said she would leave a message and email "his team". But when I told her I was desperate to hear something, she advised me to call the surgery center and gave me the number. They actually were very helpful! When I finally heard from Dr.Grant's assistant, she said it was going to be 1-2 more weeks (through no fault of their own). That was 3 weeks ago! Still no news. No updates. I emailed Monday... no response. I called today and was advised to call the surgery center again. I am literally in tears just trying to get the results of my child's biopsy. I know this is probably a common procedure for them, but this is my first, and hopefully last, biopsy of my child's eye. Maybe they could work 5% harder to have some compassion and keep me mildly informed. I'm giving them 2 stars because my son's eye still works and is healing great, so the surgery went well.
The visit was good... Everyone there was very respectful, and I received more information, understand than at the last Dr. I saw... Thank you, and God bless the entire office! Respectfully, Tracy Turner....
Dr Tran was very pleasant, he was through and professional. He explained all aspects of test results and future diagnostic tools available. I left the appointment feeling understood and taken care of. On the 1 - 10 scale he gets a 12!
The Doctors are great, if you can see one. Last time I needed a "follow up" appointment. The next available appointment was ninety days away. I was able to see my Optometrist much sooner. Next I had a referral from my medical Doctor for eye trauma from a drilling accident. Azul's telephone message service leaves you hanging. You don't know if you are 3rd caller or 20th. After my first call I hung up after 7 minutes. My second call was answered in 10 minutes. Then I was placed on hold, only to be told to call back tomorrow, as their computers were down. Hoping my insurance will cover me at another company!
