Baylor Scott & White Clinic – Pflugerville Medical Center Building 2

I just had an unprofessional and unsettling experience with the 2 nurses on the fourth floor that I thought I should share. As I step off the elevator early in the afternoon yesterday, they would did not give me a greeting or even look my way while I was in clear view. There was a second approaching woman came to the desk they gave her the opposite greeting of a loud hello and smiling at the woman. I’m Black and the second woman was White. The two nurses are to the front desk as you get off the elevator were white. I think it’s important even though it small interaction because it matters…who knows what else these women think need separate levels of attention and care especially in a medically regard. It’s so crucial for a place like a hospital to have decent, safe, and caring environment and those nurses make you quickly feel the exact opposite.

I had eye surgery at Baylor Scott and White. My doctor is Dr. Paw Osathanugrah, MD. She is well educated in her field. Compassionate and caring towards her patients. We are lucky to have her in the community. Highly recommend Dr. Paw you will not be disappointed. ☆☆☆☆☆

I saw that Dr Bruce was on the list of providers accepted on my plan and I chose her because I remembered her as a pleasant, good surgeon in my encounters with her in the past, though it had been 10+ yrs. I have been confused and apprehensive about symptoms I’ve experienced and she was the next step that my pcp thought would lead to a better understanding. My encounter with her was a surprise to me! She was very rude to me from the moment she walked into the exam room, spent absolutely no time helping me to understand my concerns, stated that there was nothing she could do for me but maybe write a script for some ibuprofen, then walked out of the room to “look at your test results again, I’ll be back”. I promptly left, not wanting to be degraded or humiliated any further! I am turning 60 this year, that is the first time as a patient that a physician has been so unprofessional and dismissive as Dr Bruce was to me today! I regret that I paid in full prior to my visit and feel that 200.00 out of my pocket to pay for 5 minutes of bullying was like setting that money on fire! I would sincerely suggest that Dr Bruce take a refresher course on bedside manner! I know that those courses are very low cost or free! Thank you.

Highly disappointing. I refused a demand for medically unnecessary specialist charges and cancelled surgery.

Dr Martin and Nurse Ebony have been treating me for pain and I can't say enough about how excellent their service is. They truly care and go above and beyond the call of duty to make me feel comfortable and help me with my pain issues. The BSW facility is exceptionally clean and like a well oiled machine. I have never had to wait to be seen and responses are always quick and urgent. I would 100% recommend Baylor Scott and White, as well as, Dr Martin for his professionalism, great knowledge and bedside manner and Nurse Ebony for her kind and caring demeanor. Well done and thank you.
