Beach Eye Care

I have never had a better experience with a doctor than what I had with Dr. Le today. First of all, the practice fit me in within two hours of my call on an emergency basis. Second, the staff was friendly, competent, and very patient. However, I have to say that the care that I received from Dr. Le was absolutely outstanding. I was shocked over the lengthy amount of time she spent with me explaining my condition, giving me informational videos to watch, and explaining and demonstrating rehabilitative techniques for my condition. I rarely have an experience in today’s medical care system, which is so fast paced that the patient feels lost quite often, like the one I had with this doctor. Dr Le Is amazing and I am so thankful I was under her care today. Thank you!

June 3, 2026 I came in for a 3pm appt to troubleshoot my Meta Frames not pairing. I was greeted by the receptionist with orange hair at Beach Eye Care, Kemps River telling me I had a balance of $100 for a medical claim. I said ok, but asked to see the invoice or any sort of billing documentation. I sat and waited. After she assisted another customer, I asked her was there any luck with the invoice. She told me she can't show me anything, but billing can. My only complaint is her attitude. I did not walk in here to be disrespected or met with a condescending attitude and strange smile as if she's getting away with treating me poorly. (Basically finding my frustration comical). So I wanted to make sure this was documented. I should not have been met with that. I asked to speak with a manager and she stated they were busy. The bill was taken care of as I sat here, even though I would have liked to see an invoice of the medical charges, being as though I've met my deductibles for the year. But I have no issue waiting. I thank you for the opportunity to document this interaction because it was uncalled for.

My experience at Beach Eye Care Kempsville was one positive experience after another. From Taylor who did my initial evaluations so patiently, to Dr. Scannell who was friendly, knowledgeable, and took time to make sure I understood my vision options, and finally Lou who helped me find the best glasses for my face and made sure they were perfect!

The Kempsville visit was a good experience. The staff, Amanda in particular, took care of me during my appointment. She pushed through computer issues while she got me comfortably through prep and tests. Once I got to the doctor, I was at ease for my eval. Both Dr Melissa Le and Sasha closed out my pleasant visit.

No different than every other place. They all think their time is more valuable than yours. I scheduled an appointment early in the morning, and here they are doing their Chick-fil-A orders and every other!thing instead of taking care of business. Wouldn't expect less. Not interested in how busy you are. Waste someone elses time. Promise they will. You can put $50 on my account for wasting my time. You want to charge $50 if they waste yours. Y'all are sad.
