My first experience would be rated at a 2 or 3. The manager took care of all my order issues and concerns. I just called them and I was able to put in an order over the phone to get progressive lenses for one of the frames I bought. This was a truly amazing experience that took less than 5 minutes. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for same day eye appointments and possible same day lenses.

I had an appointment this morning to come in for my annual eye exam. I was mistaken and thought they accepted my insurance but it didn't matter because they have plans that help people purchase glasses even if they don't have insurance or for some reason or not able to use their insurance like me. Everything went well and was well explained. You can fill out the basic paperwork before you arrive for your appointment to make things go quicker. I dealt with Samantha and Kalen today. Both friendly and professional, I was able to ask questions and carry on comfortable conversations with them without any awkwardness which can sometimes happen at medical appointments. They have glasses to suit every budget, and again plans to help everyone. My appointment was no more than 90 minutes in and out the door. And believe it or not, my glasses were ready the same day and only 45 minutes! There are some glasses they can make quickly while others will take 2 to 3 days. I've been to America's Best, I've been to My Eye Dr.....And I do have to say this is one of the better experiences I have had. I visited the location at 109 Volvo parkway. Super easy to get to and the store is fairly calm if you choose a morning appointment. I was actually pleased and think you will be too.
(The manager reached out to me and fixed the situation. So I'm going to add 3 more stars since they did. ) I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience here. The initial sales process was actually good, though a bit slow, but everything since then has been a disaster. I received my sunglasses within a week, but my primary glasses have been "missing" for two weeks despite staff repeatedly telling me they were ready for pickup. The reasons for this 1-star review: Constant Misinformation: I was told multiple times over the phone that my glasses were ready. Each time, I was put on hold for 20+ minutes while they "searched" for them, only to be told they couldn't find them. Zero Follow-Through: Management promised to call me back by the end of the day on three separate occasions. Not once did I receive a return call. I had to do all the chasing myself. Dismissive Management: When I finally got a manager on the phone, I was told they "don't like to reorder glasses right away" because it’s a "pain" for them—ignoring the fact that it’s a bigger pain for the customer who already paid for them. Wasted Time: My wife finally had to go to the store in person and wait 45 minutes while they searched for glasses that clearly didn't exist. Only then did they finally agree to a remake. It’s a shame the back-end service is so unprofessional because the salesperson was actually helpful. If you value your time and expect honest communication, I’d suggest going elsewhere
I had a very frustrating experience with Staunton Optical. The customer service is extremely poor, and the entire process took far longer than it should have. The only positive part of my experience was the sales associate who originally helped us—he was great. Unfortunately, he is no longer with the company, and it really shows. We ordered two pairs of glasses. The automated system notified us that they were ready, but when my husband went to pick them up, only the sunglasses had arrived. I called three separate times and was left on hold for long periods each time, only to be told someone would call me back by the end of the day—which never happened. On the third call, the assistant manager assured me that if the glasses didn’t arrive the next day, he would reorder them and call me by 9:15 AM. That call never came either. The following evening, I went into the store myself to get answers. After waiting 40 minutes, the manager finally reordered the glasses, as none of the employees seemed able to assist. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience due to lack of communication, follow-through, and basic customer service.
Everytime I need anything for my eyes this is my go to stop!!! SAMANTHA!!! She helps me over and above, takes care of things I didn’t even know I needed all while keeping the store neat and clean. She’s amazing and I can’t say enough great things about her. Go see Sam for all your eye care :))
