Dr. Steinman was wonderful! HOWEVER, i’m changing my five star to one star and I would give it zero if possible. I supposedly ordered glasses 16 days ago. I was supposed to call back the next day regarding my contact lens prescription, which I did and got Voicemail. And I called numerous other times over the past 16 days and never got a return call. I finally decided just to stop in to pick up my glasses, Guess what??? They were never even ordered! So now I have no contacts and no glasses! I would say far away from Bellevue Vision on 116th St. if you’re ordering glasses or contact lenses. Get your eye exam here but definitely go somewhere else to get your hardware!

I have been going to Bellevue Vision for about 40 years now. Loved them. Dr. McManus was excellent and his staff was attent, friendly, and very competent. That changed this year. Dr. McManus retired. The replacement Opthamologist was great, but the office is now grossly under-staffed. I was promised new glasses on 5/26/2026. It is now 3 days later and no glasses. I realize there are reasons, but I expect to hear from them about the delay and what the new expected time should be. Today, I sent multiple emails, called 3 times. Left messages. Never reached a human. Never got a call back. Never got a response to my messages. Done with this place. With McManus gone, it is now a fraudulent business that cannot be trusted. Do not go there.
Wonderful vision center! We were very pleased with our visit. The examination with Dr. Steinman was conducted in a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff was very attentive. A huge thank you to Lyubov—she is a true professional and helped us choose the perfect pair of glasses that we are very happy with. Thank you for all your help!
If you have all the time in the world and do not need your prescription, choose this place! I brought my child for an in-person visit twice and have called three times to get his contacts prescription. Still no response. At this rate, we will likely start over at a Costco eyecare center where you can walk out the door with your prescription when your appointment is finished. Never mind that we'll pay out of pocket for that. The people at this office were nice, but the service was so lackluster, I just don't ever see us returning.
Avoid. I am now over two months out from my initial appointment and haven't received my contacts due to the clinic's disorganization. I came to this clinic on 4/21 for a contacts prescription and was told it would take one to two weeks to receive the lenses. After receiving no word from the clinic, I reached out on 5/4 and was told I would be called when they were ready. After an entire month of zero updates, I called on 6/2 and was told that my contacts had been picked up at an appointment on 5/21. This appointment was not scheduled by me and I did not attend it. Where did the contacts go? After reordering my contacts, I was scheduled to pick them up today. I was then given a call saying that they had mistakenly put me down for a contacts pickup instead of a contacts training and would not be able to see me because they have no time in their schedule to allocate to the contacts training. After two months of being strung along, I am done. Take your business elsewhere.
