Our experience with Dr. Kitei and this office was unfortunately very disappointing. From the beginning, we had concerns about Dr. Kitei's bedside manner. During appointments, we felt that our daughter's concerns about her blurry vision were dismissed rather than thoroughly addressed. We also found him to be judgmental and not particularly receptive to listening to our concerns as parents, which made us feel unheard throughout her care. The final deciding factor was our most recent appointment. We travel over an hour each way to this office. On the day of our appointment, there was an accident that caused unexpected traffic, and as soon as we realized we would be approximately 15 minutes late, we called the office to let them know. The receptionist checked with the doctor, who refused to see us because their grace period is 10 minutes. While I understand that offices have scheduling policies, we communicated proactively, the delay was beyond our control, and we had already driven over an hour to get there. A little flexibility or understanding would have gone a long way. When the receptionist asked if I wanted to reschedule, I explained that we would not be returning because of the office's unwillingness to accommodate us. Her response was simply, "Okay, that's fine." There was no attempt to understand our concerns, apologize for the situation, or retain us as patients. We understand that policies exist for a reason, but compassionate patient care also requires empathy and a willingness to work with families when unexpected circumstances arise. Unfortunately, between feeling dismissed during our daughter's care and the lack of consideration shown by both the physician and the office staff, we chose to seek care elsewhere.

The front of house staff were fine, but the doctor did not take my concerns seriously in the slightest. It felt like he was just trying to get things done as fast as possible and to send me out the door, and to push the rest of the responsibility onto the optometrist. I would find other places to go, there's plenty others around the area.

We were looking forward to bringing our son to Dr. Kitei; he had been my ophthalmologist when I was a kid and still comes highly recommended after all these years. That said, more than one hour's wait time is completely unacceptable for a two year old to wait, or someone of any age for that matter. (The receptionist told my husband it would not be that long.) The most disappointing aspect, however, was the receptionist staff itself. The receptionist who checked in my husband was rude, unprofessional, and unsympathetic. She took a rude tone with my husband when confirming the name on his credit card, even though he had just given her his ID with his name on it. It was not a tone of curiosity or confirmation; my husband does not have a common first name, so he was left feeling criticized for no reason. There was a woman checking in at the window next door with her son, and she left after being told it would be a two hour wait. My husband's receptionist wasted no time speaking poorly about this woman in front of everyone. Coming on here, I see the office staff has been a massive problem for years and no one seems inclined to do anything about it. I am grateful my son was found to have no substantial issues because it will take a significant problem for us to come back.

I will have to say the Dr's are great. However, their staff is awful. They are rude and condescending. They don't talk to you they talk at you. I will say maybe 2 people there are nice. When you are in the waiting room You can hear everyone birthdate- phone numbers and problem that they may have billing issue. The Billing department posts your payments wrong. They are very snotty to say the least. I agree with other reviews - " They are horrendous and rude, nasty, unpleasant and have unprofessional attitude" I feel bad for the DR's because they are good but staff gets a zero. I would like to put a zero but I can only put a 1. The staff does not deserve a 1.

Not my first time here but definitely the worst experience checking in. It was busy, I walked up to window to check in for my appointment only to be told that “I’m still finishing up”, I took a seat and waited. After some time, I went back to the same individual, who again stated, “ I’m still finishing paperwork “. She never asked me my name. I sat back down, meanwhile other receptionists were checking in other patients. I finally went to another window and was checked in for my appointment 15 minutes after I arrived. Very poor communication skills as well as patient interactions with that individual. She was rude and dismissive. Not a good look for the office. That being said, Dr Badami is an excellent provider. I have great respect for her as a physician.
