I had a sudden issue with my vision. I called and explained and they were able to fit me in for a same-day appointment. Everyone I encountered there was courteous and professional and Dr Bloom was great. He explained what was going on and what we would need to do next to protect my vision. I'd definitely recommend them!

Dr. Michael Bloom is an exceptional physician who truly puts his patients at ease. From the moment of our appointment, he was friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive to my concerns. His patient-centered approach and attention to detail gave me confidence. It's clear that Dr. Bloom values educating his patients and ensuring they feel comfortable with their treatment decisions. I highly recommend Dr. Michael Bloom and the team at Bloom Family Eye Surgeons to anyone looking for knowledgeable, compassionate, and outstanding eye care.

Dr. Robert Bloom performed surgery for both of my son's eyes. He did an excellent job and was very professional & caring. His staff is friendly and helpful as well at both the St. Marys, Ohio office & the surgery center in Moraine. He does a nice job explaining the procedure and answering any questions you have. You can tell he's done this for quite some time and is very experienced in his field. The only negative thing I have to say is their St. Marys location can have long wait times. From what I understand, the staff only comes to this location once a month; there's been a crowd in the waiting area for 2 out of the 4 appointments we were scheduled for. Having said that, our previous appointment with them went quickly - I'm guessing because it was an early morning appointment. Today my son's checkup was scheduled for 11:10AM, but we didn't get called back until noon or so. I was notified today that the staff does come to St. Marys more often in the summer time when the kids are out of school. Perhaps this will help with the long waits and crowds. I'm sure they do everything they can to keep things running smoothly. But just keep this in the back of your mind if you're scheduled with them.

I was referred to Bloom Family Eye Surgeons following a hospitalization for swelling of my optic nerves. First off: this is a busy practice, so if you're expecting a bougie bespoke experience, this isn't the place. If you're looking for friendly, caring professionals, you've come to the right place. First, the negative: 1. The office waiting area could use a little freshening up. Now, the positives: 1. The staff, from techs to front desk to schedulers, are professional and extremely friendly. 2. Making appointments is easy, and you can get scheduled quickly. 3. They have a great diversity of patients, which I like. From rich-looking folks to immigrants to Orthodox Jews, they have 'em all! 4. Dr. Robert Bloom, the Bloom to whom I was referred, is wonderful. He can be quick, as there are many patients to see, but he is thorough, professional, and very knowledgeable. He will work to identify what's going on and let you know. He is friendly and caring. Definitely recommend Blood Family Eye Surgeons and Dr. Robert Bloom!

Horrible experience. Had an appointment for my nonverbal child on the spectrum. I made sure to explain her different needs when scheduling the appointment. After driving 40 mins and waiting over an hour and 1/2 with no explanation of why the long wait, my daughter had had enough. I can’t blame her. This experience will affect us negatively for future medical appointments. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IF you have a child with special needs.
