Blue River Vision

I was visiting Silverthorne with my nephew when the nose pads on his glasses fell off. Amy at the front desk was the best! She was sweet and kind and fixed the glasses for us right away on a Saturday morning. What an incredible place with the best staff!

I’ve been coming here for years and the customer service has gone downhill and now I won’t be going back. First, during the exam, I was given a test that was not covered by insurance and was not told I had to pay until after I was checking out. Usually they let me know in advance and give the option of taking it, now it’s hidden and a surprise when you check out. After paying over $700 for the glasses alone, I waited four weeks for the glasses to arrive to find out they were done incorrectly. They said they would call the lab and then nothing…no phone call or message and no reply to my voicemail and one message saying they would get back with me and they never did. Finally after another week, I got a hold of someone and asked to speak with the manager. He put me on hold and had the technician talk with me. He didn’t even want to talk with me. They found out a week ago they couldn’t get my glasses done as they have been done in the past. No explanation. They knew they couldn’t get them and didn’t bother telling me. They just wanted to keep the money and ignore the fact they didn’t call or message me or give me a refund. I asked to speak with the manager again. He didn’t even want to try and figure out what happened or listen. He just kept talking over me offering to mail me a check. I guess he doesn’t know how to manage. I just wanted my glasses done correctly. Save yourself the trouble and don’t go here.

I went in to get my eye's checked. Made the appointment before hand, took 5 min to get into an exam room. Prelim tests were done, then I saw the doctor. Took all of 20 minutes. The hardest part was picking out the glasses. Good selection and options, great practitioner and office staff. Great experience all around.

We love Blue River Vision and Dr. Jessica Hegewald. Dr. Jessica has been our optometrist since she opened her practice in Silverthorne. It’s been delightful to witness the growth and the addition of so many professionals. Dr. Jessica and Dr. Megan Schmauder have seen us through a couple of concerning cases with our eyes. We are grateful for their patient, supportive, professional care. We see better thanks to them!

I had a corneal ulcer and needed very close monitoring and care. Dr. Hegewald was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. She responded quickly, was incredibly understanding, welcoming, and kind, and made a stressful situation feel much more manageable. She took the time to explain everything clearly and I always felt like I was in great hands. The office was professional, efficient, and caring. I’m very grateful for the level of attention and treatment I received and will definitely continue coming here going forward. Highly recommend Dr. Hegewald and her team
