I got my glasses here over a year ago and as I'm searching for a new optometrist (because I definitely do not want to go back) decided to leave a review here. I've been dealing with a lot of health issues in the past year so new glasses were not super high on my priority list. Initially, when I got my glasses from Boise Mountain Eye Care, they felt off, blurry. I told them about it, they said that it takes a few days to 2 weeks for my eyes to adjust. Two weeks pass, I call them back and say that they are still blurry, I couldn't even read the names of stores I was passing while driving. They say okay come back in, but I had to wait another 2 weeks for the follow-up appointment. I go back, they check the glasses, ONE OF THE LENSES WAS A TOTALLY WRONG PRESCRIPTION. It'll take another few days to get the new one, so again, I wait. Got the new one, better than before, but still off a bit. I go back a few more times to deal with it, they say it's the right prescription, that my eyes are just getting used to these new glasses and it'll be fine just give it time. Well it's been over a year, my eyes hurt daily. My old prescription sunglasses FROM 8 YEARS AGO work better than these. Everything looks clearer in the old sunglasses and my eyes relax and don't hurt when I put them on. Too bad that I also surrendered my old regular pair of glasses to them, should have kept them. I paid over $400 for this pair, after insurance, plus for contacts and everything else. I expect quality service and knowledgeable providers. Both areas were a disappointment. They also did not have a good selection of frames, surprisingly. I remember thinking, "Next time, I'll need to physically go into the clinic first and see their frames, before having my eye exam, to avoid this problem." I've been wearing glasses for over 30 years and I've never had such a problem finding a nice pair for my face shape. The only good thing about this place was Wiley, he was super understanding and helpful.
I haven’t been to an eye doctor in almost 10 years and they made me feel so comfortable about the eye exam process. They were so kind and truly cared about helping. When looking for glass frames they were really good on helping to find which fit looked the best for my face
My husband and I were extremely impressed with the staff and doctors at Boise Mountain Eyecare. It is a friendly, welcoming and professional atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Super friendly staff. Great doctors. Frames are pricey but I love this office otherwise!
