The doctor seems very efficient! I love that it seems like he only books one patient at a time versus the other offices who book several patients all for the same time slot. It made my whole experience extremely personable. The girl at the front (forgive me for forgetting your name) spent so much of her time helping look at glasses and figure out which ones were the best for me. The whole experience was really great. Definitely will be coming back.

Dr. Benning takes time to do a through eye examination. He has great knowledge and communicates well. For the last 10 years I have tried multiple different optometrists and they were all at best "ok". Dr. Benning does not rush to give you a prescription and move on to the "customer", he takes time to answer all questions and explain everything he is doing / seeing. Will be back next year.
I had lasik surgery about 15 years ago. My vision has been ok since, but I have a hard time with small print. Dr Benning told me that I was given normal vision during my lasik, but I was used to being near sighted. Wow! Such a simple explanation! As it turns out, after my eye exam, I learned that my vision has essentially not changed since my surgery. Thanks for the chat Dr Benning. You did an awesome job with me!
Very poor eye exam for me. The 20+ year old mechanical eye testing equipment is out of date and is in bad need of being replaced by modern eye examination tools. Can't even test my double vision at the same time as checking my normal vision. Plus, the Dr. didnt even recheck my double vision and I hadn't been in for about two years. I could go on, but I'll stop here to be kinder. I will never use this place again. Much more was wrong but I'll just not go into details.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. Dr. Benning was exceptionally patronizing, condescending and rude to my wife and daughter. He seemed to be annoyed that he was having to deal with a child...he might be ok with adults but considering how he treated my wife, I wouldn’t risk it. In addition, PearlVision does not appear to be doing too well. There was zero staff in Dr. Bennings office...there are much better eye doctors in Plano and I would encourage you to find anyone else. Very disappointed.
