04.13.26 4:10pm Our Glaucoma and Cataract Specialist, Dr. Eric Shieh, MD, is very thorough and takes care of us so well, we feel reassured under his care and guidance. For our super dry eyes Dr. Shieh recommended "oilier yet still preservative-free eyedrops" vs regular Systane and wrote down for us the following 3 recommendations, we purchased the 1st one at Costco; **Refresh Mega 3, **Systane Complete, **Retaine MGD. The Refresh Mega 3 is definitely helping lock in moisture for a lot longer than regular Systane. I am soon to be an 86 yr old man with very mild Macular Degeneration and very Mild Cataracts and my 78 yr old wife, who has Sjogren's so has extra dry eyes and mouth, and has stable Glaucoma in both eyes with her right eye having severe vision loss from it but with her left eye at 20/20 vision. Our daughter's prior Opthalmologist at this clinic, Dr. John Xie, MD, PhD, is truly a sweet doctor, he is very kind, gentle, patient and was such a delightful doctor to meet. He assured our daughter that she doesn't have any signs of having Uveitis (from Ankylosing Spondylitis=HLA B27 category disease) and that her eyes were very healthy even with semi high myopia. The pupil dilating drops are... awful but necessary. Next in a couple of months is the vision field test needed for those monitoring pituitary adenomas. Though arrived 40 minutes before appt time our daughter was seen at exactly her appt time. And yes, the waiting room chairs get full. Note: please change waiting room chairs, they are terribly uncomfortable.

I recommend not to go to this Advanced Eye Associates because the staff's office has bad services for every patient to wait more than a half hour with an appointment in advance. I even called to change appointments with a voice machine to wait forever for no one to answer. No help or improvement after seeing a doctor in the exam room to complain about this issue. Do not come to this treatment if you can find other eye doctors around this bay area ...

Every single time we need to see doctor, we could never reach anyone to make appointment. We called again and again different time, different days, waiting until the call auto hung up. Even they have text option, never got the response. Very bad service and no doctor harmony!

Hard, if not impossible, to reach. I have been trying to make an appointment, but no one answers the phone. After being on hold for about 5 minutes, the caller is told to call back and the connection is terminated. Nor does the offered option of texting them work. I sent a text 3 days ago and followed it up a day ago, but still no response.

I am beyond furious with the absolutely deplorable customer service at this company! I've called repeatedly—morning, afternoon, it doesn’t matter—and not a single person picks up the phone! It’s like the entire staff is on permanent vacation or just ignoring their customers. I’ve wasted hours, days even, trying to get through, only to be met with endless ringing or robotic hold messages that lead nowhere. It’s clear no one is working, or if they are, they couldn’t care less about their customers. This is unacceptable and infuriating! Fire your nonexistent staff and hire people who actually do their jobs!
