My father was scheduled to have cataract surgery here and I read reviews beforehand and there were some negative reviews but im here to say that we couldn't have had a better experience the staff were kind, patient & professional the center was very clean had a water cooler 2 bathrooms and a keurig coffee machine the waiting room is a decent size but the chairs are too close together you feel like your sitting on top of other people that is the only negative comment I have my father's surgery was scheduled for 8am by 815am he was called in and we were done by 930am when they told me the whole process would take 2-3 hours the staff personally made cups of coffee & brought them over to the patients in recovery with graham crackers answered all our questions if you or your loved one needs eye surgery this is a good choice

I came to this location (1301 Ave J, Brooklyn, NY 11230) with my father-in-law on the 22nd at 10:00 AM, and the experience with the second-floor receptionist, Ari, was terrible. She didn't look or speak to either of us with a smile or any basic courtesy. Her facial expression, body language, and tone of voice were completely flat, unwelcoming, and rude. She has absolutely no manners or professionalism in how she talks to patients and their families. People with this kind of behavior do not belong at a front desk. Giving 1 star is too much; she deserves a 0.
I took my family to this eye doctor and they made us wait 3.5 hours in the common seating area before seating us "inner seating area". Then, the assistant tells its gonna be another hour before they start the procedure. Utterly ridiculous how long you have to wait. We been here for almost 6 hours, still not done, plus there's a lot of people waiting in the seating area and it’s overcrowded and smells bad. The nurse working at the eye surgery reception is also very rude. I agree with the previous comment about having too many patients coming in at the same morning time and making everyone wait
I would give this place negative stars if I could…I took my mom in to get eye surgery and waited for 5 Hours!! The procedure itself only took 10-15 mins. We were one of the first ones to get there. We arrived at the center at 7:45. Our appointment was at 8:15. When we checked in, the receptionist told us it would only take 2 hours. I waited and noticed that a lot of patients that came before us is going into the patient area and they are coming out before my mom. I was only in the waiting area so I do not know what is going on inside the patient area as I have no visibility there. When I spoke to my mom post surgery, she was telling me that a patient that came after her got the same procedure done before she did. The service in this place is horrible despite how much we had to pay for the surgery. Do not come here. They will waste your time. Additionally, this place is rancid.
Be ready to wait at least 2hrs in the common seating area before you move into the "inner seating area". I believe the problem is the pre-assigned car service that brings you to the clinic comes to pick you up too early. From 8am-11am, there's a lot of people waiting in the seating area and it gets overcrowded. Idk why people get scheduled to come so early when you're gonna have to wait upwards of 2hrs. There needs to be a better scheduling system so people come by appointment time, instead having many patients coming in at the same time, with no regard of how long a surgery generally takes.
