On the phone they told me they took VSP and then when I showed up for my appointment, they said they did not. Also, NOTE THERE IS 2 OWEN DRIVE LOCATIONS 1613 and 1629 they WILL be condescending to you if you make this mistake. Over the phone they said IF the appointment (to make sure I don’t have a detached retina btw) wasn’t covered by my insurance, the out of pocket fee is $135. No problem. Again, at the reception desk, they don’t take VSP, you need medical insurance, the $135 is a DEPOSIT, not the cost of the exam. Very disingenuous, I would be willing to self pay considering that is what I currently do for medical exams. The lack of transparency from the beginning is a huge red flag. How much would they try to charge me at the end? Thanks for the lack of care. I guess I will need to find a different provider if this does become an emergency.
