I found Cargo Eye Care online through the Maui Jim website as they're an authorized dealer. I went there on a Friday to drop off the glasses so they could fill my prescription. It was very busy in the lobby; however, Blake introduced herself to me and welcomed me in. Blake was fantastic. She figured out what my insurance covers and how long it would take. Fast forward 2 weeks, and I received a text letting me know the sunglasses were ready. Again, it was super busy, but Blake was there to help. She is extremely kind, great at her job, and an asset to the team. These are the best sunglasses I've ever owned. Thank you, Cargo Eye Care!

We have been visiting Cargo Eye Care for the past 3 years, and it has always been a great experience. It is an excellent place for eye checkups, and the service is consistently very good. They also provide good service for glasses, and the staff are very patient. They listen carefully to our concerns and help us resolve any eye-related issues. We always feel well taken care of whenever we visit. Highly recommend their service! 👓👁️
Short: If you’re looking for an office that seems like they care, has the knowledge, and treats you like you’re a part of your own care instead of a number, then come here. Long: I stopped going to my previous optometrist of a few years because while I don’t need a red carpet, I didn’t like feeling like I was an inconvenience to the doctor despite being fairly low-maintenance. I scheduled an annual checkup with Cargo based on a recommendation online and so far I’m proud of my decision-making abilities. They’re good about answering the phone or responding if you leave a message, so you can check to make sure they take your insurance. I also recommend doing charts online before you arrive. Once there, there was a bit of a wait between things but 1) I’ll take that over a churn and burn office and 2) I attribute that to being a brand new patient. I met with Dr. Savani; she discovered that I was overprescribed by my last optometrist and helped me reconsider how I use corrective eyewear. The discussion was very professional and informative, yet still personal. I use screens all day for work so I went in thinking that eyes just get worse every year, that it was time to move to contacts, and that I should be ready to drop a few Bens. She encouraged me to let our discussion marinate before I chose to spend any money and they’d be ready when I was. I’ll be sending anyone who asks (or doesn’t) this way.
Dr. Cargo will work with you until he gets you seeing perfectly. My husband and I have been going to Dr Cargo for over 10 years. Now that I am older, he has to work harder to get my vision perfect. God is great to bring us Dr Cargo and his staff!!
I’ve been a customer of Cargo Eye Care since 2009 and I’ve never had any issues whatsoever, until today. On April 23rd 2026 I went in for my eye exam, prior to the appointment I had already purchased my own frames and just needed to purchase my lenses. I asked the lady who was assisting me if the sides of the frames could be taped to avoid any loss of stones. She agreed then proceeded to hand me the booklet that was inside the case and said for me to keep that because she didn’t want it to get lost so I placed it inside my purse. The case contained replacement parts along with the cleaning cloth. I paid for everything, she gave me my receipt and I left. Today, May 04 2026 I go to pick up my prescription and I was asked if my glasses came with a case and I responded yes. The lady then proceeded to tell me that they didn’t have it and she would give me a replacement. I explain to her that I left my case with them that contained extra parts. I also expressed how they were designer frames and weren’t cheap so they needed to be found because I left them in their care. She had me wait to speak with the original woman I was dealing with who I left the glasses with. The lady then comes over telling me I took my case with me and they don’t take them. I explained to her what had transpired during our original transaction and pulled out the booklet that she made me keep so it wouldn’t get lost. She just kept saying that I didn’t leave my case. I asked for the cameras to be reviewed and she just repeated herself. To avoid causing a scene I grabbed my things and left. It would be one thing to say that they were lost, it happens and I would be more understanding. The fact that she refused to take any accountability and accused me of taking them when I know I gave them to her is an issue for me. They didn’t even try to look into the situation or provide a solution to make things right as I was missing replacement parts. I had to leave and go back to work as I was on break, I called the office to speak with someone and she just gave me an email for the doctor write him. It’s frustrating because I’ve been coming here for years and I was treaded like I was the issue. As I do not have insurance , I pay for everything flat out. I’ve spent allot of money here because I trusted the integrity of this office and enjoyed coming here as they have always been so professional . After today, I will not be returning.
