Carolina Eye Care and Associates

My wife and I had our first appointments at Carolina Eye Care today, and overall, we had a very positive experience. I saw Dr. Ward, while my wife saw Dr. Mak. Dr. Ward was very professional, friendly, and easy to talk to. He seemed to have a genuinely pleasant attitude and made a good first impression. My wife also said she was treated very well by Dr. Mak and was pleased with her experience. The office was clean, organized, and welcoming, and the staff members we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. Based on our first visit, everything went well, and we would definitely consider returning for our future eye care needs. So far, so good. We appreciate the positive experience and look forward to seeing how things go moving forward.

This office has been excellent every time I’ve been there. I’ve been a patient for about two years, and the experience has consistently been positive. The staff is friendly, upbeat, and always makes you feel welcome when you walk through the door. They take the time to be helpful and treat patients with kindness and respect. You can tell they care about creating a good experience, and it really shows. I’m glad I found this practice and would definitely recommend them to others.

The two doctors are fantastic. The other support staff in the back of the house is also great however, there are two ladies upfront at the front desk, who are always grumpy when I come in. They leave the impression that they’re doing me a favor by being there instead of the other way around also they seem to get upset if I decide not to buy glasses from them.

Used this eye doctor as a first time adult patient and was paired with Dr. Mak. While everyone was fairly friendly, the entire exam and process felt more like a sales pitch than an exam. As it turns out, after a second opinion the prescription I was provided was incorrect. I suppose for someone familiar with the process going through the entire exam in 5 minutes may not feel like much, but it felt rushed to someone with no experience. I asked for contacts, was told no, and pushed into glasses. To be fair, I hold a lot of fault here for letting it continue the way it did. As a grown person I should have stopped the process, explained it was moving too quickly and either walked away or resolved it. All in all, the place was well kept. Not a fan of how sales pitchy it was. I wasn't a personal fan of the doctor or the speed they tried to process me out of the building for a new person. I went elsewhere after and had a great experience. 3 stars.

Dr Ward is knowledgeable and kind. The staff is great to work with. They have always been willing to help with any issue I have had with my glasses . I haven't seen Dr Mak as a patient but she is always so friendly in passing .
