Most amazing, caring, kind team of folks! I had cataract surgery here and highly recommend. I was terrified about the surgery, and every single person educated me on what was happening, what to expect and provided reassurance. It truly is a superior team of people, and Dr. Coleman did an exceptional job with the surgery!

I was seen by referral from my family eye doctor. I was extremely unhappy with the overall treatment. Was told I had a variety of options for payment. $400 or $1800 and up to I believe $2500. This is the first and ONLY experience with this group of doctors. I asked an assistant what the difference is in low vs. Higher price. She told me she didn't know. I have many years of experience in the healthcare field. Never in 50 years have I experienced a fee system in healthcare. You made an appt, listened to recommended treatment options and decide on a plan. But wait this is where it got crazy....nobody at this place could tell me what the difference in price involves. I certainly hope it doesn't mean a difference in quality of care. If this was an appendectomy or tonsil surgery, or any other surgery the patient would be told the price. Of course there is always the possibility of complications that would increase the cost. But at Cataract and Laser the patient is expected to pay more for what? Better service? I hope not. I will choose the provider based on a variety of issues-not how much can afford. Every pt should have the best possible treatment. Transparency in healthcare is a vital part of a good outcome. I will select my treatment based on a variety of issues-NOT cost alone. Never in my work in healthcare or as a pt have I been asked to select treatment based on quality of care. A pt should have the right to 100% of the surgeon's experience and expertise. Sometimes I imagine what I would have chosen to save $$$ on my vision. Eliminate aftercare? Don't think I want to give that up. How about infection control??? Ugh, too disgusting to think about. Maybe expecting a surgeon to do the best possible job?? There we go...This concept of choose your treatment and take your chances based on cost??? Good luck with that. Maybe I will pay more in the long run- I'm sure my insurance company won't be thrilled to pay for preop care twice. But I won't make healthcare choices based on fees the doc can command. I just thank God this isn't a life or death choice. My only advice for any medical procedure??? Get 2 or even 3 estimates. Ask for references. You would do it for a new roof. Ask a trusted friend or relative to help you make decisions. Good luck. Don't be in a hurry unless your situaton is life threatening.

Great Medical Care, but Privacy and Comfort Need Improvement** The doctors and nurses took wonderful care of my husband during his cataract procedure, and we are very grateful for their medical expertise. However, I am giving a 3 star rating instead of 5 for two specific reasons: 1. "Lack of Financial Privacy:" The staff members collecting payments were very loud. Announcing exactly how much a patient owes and asking how they want to pay in a voice loud enough for the entire waiting room to hear is highly unprofessional. It feels like a major boundary issue close to a HIPAA violation. Financial and medical details should be kept private, not broadcasted to everyone waiting. 2. Uncomfortable Seating for Long Waits: You are required to be there at least 4 hours before you are finally called back. Waiting that long in chairs that are incredibly hard and uncomfortable is exhausting. The clinical team is excellent, but the administration really needs to address the waiting room privacy and seating comfort.

Everybody was beyond , kind and considerate to my needs. When I was done, I had absolutely no questions. They were thorough and I had all the details I needed at my fingertips. I would recommend them to my husband ♥️

The eye surgery was a breeze took maybe 5 minute’s but the trying to get the anesthesia in my veins was a whole different story. Since I have lymphedema in my left arm, they only had the right arm to work with. My veins are extremely small and extremely damaged because of chemotherapy years ago three nurses tried to insert the anesthesia into my hand rest thumb. I had Six tries and they still could not get it. I really don’t blame the nurses but in a case like this, they needed an expert who could actually get the anesthesia in the veins. It took at least 35 minutes to finally get a vein in my foot. I have another surgery next week. I am just hoping that I will not be in the pain I was in yesterday.
