My experience so far has left me very displeased. I went in wanting a routine cleaning but was given a full exam instead and told I needed a deep cleaning plus treatment for a cavity. I was then informed it would take three weeks for insurance approval and that I needed medical clearance because of the blood thinner I’m on. After hearing nothing, I called them and was told the insurance had denied the claim. When I contacted my insurance myself, they said the X-rays submitted did not support the need for a deep cleaning. I then logged into the patient portal and sent a message to the staff asking how to proceed. It has now been 21 days with no reply and no phone call. I have state dental insurance. My wife was seen there previously, was given the runaround, and was eventually referred out for oral surgery only after she specifically asked. She overheard someone complain to the person who referred her that “they wouldn’t get paid for that now.” In my opinion, this facility appears more focused on maximizing payments through state dental insurance than on actually caring for patients. With zero follow-up or attempt to help me, I’m left seriously questioning whether their diagnosis of my mouth was even legitimate.

I stopped going here after an appointment in December to fit a permanent crown. January comes and I receive a bill from this dentist office for $1.4k. When you receive a bill you'll see a procedure code that corresponds to what happened in the appointment and you can find it easily in their treatment plan to know what it was for. I kid you not, they are trying to charge me for a procedure I had done at a different dentist office several months later. They literally got the tooth number for my permanent crown in December wrong and are trying to charge me for it. We're in May now and they continue to send this bill as if I'm going to give them free money. I have called many times and sent emails with no response whatsoever. Also as a side note, for my first diagnostic appointment I was charged $100 upfront and told that would be it. By the time the appointment finished I somehow owed another $400 without any of the people telling me what would cost extra. It's wild. What I'm saying is, only go to this dentist office if you really really really like family feud, they have it on 24/7 in the waiting area.
Today was my “new patient” appointment with Dr. Barrera. I was scheduled for 10:00 AM, so I arrived at 9:30 AM. I patiently waited until I realized that no one communicated the delay. At 11 AM, I approached the front desk to confirm my appointment time. The young lady went to the back and advised that they were running behind but I would be next. The Dental Hygienist, Cheryl, was very pleasant and she made me feel welcomed. Then…the Dentist came in! She introduced herself but there was a language barrier and she had a rude demeanor. The whole encounter felt rushed and impersonal. I was told to come back for my cleaning; but I left very confused and doubtful that I’d return.
The ladies that work at this office are very nice and the place is clean. My complaint is they do things without considering the patient's time. X-rays one day, cleaning another appointment, filling on another day ... Why would you out fillings unless the teeth are clean? They worked on only 1 tooth and gave yet ANOTHER appointment to work on the rest. Scheduling said it is "for insurance purposes" That one tooth they worked on is now sensitive and painful so I called and cancelled the rest of it. The hygienist did an amazing job so I was okay with the fragmented ways but not after they messed up my tooth. I wouldn't recommend this place at all but still wish them the best
I just got off the phone with an intake person wanting to set an appointment for an initial cleaning, since I’m new to the area. The woman’s tone and speech came across like a teenager chewing gum and blowing bubbles. After listening to her ask questions and speak at a blurred, rapid fire pace and my having to ask her to repeat herself many times, I decided to make a game of it and frantically tried to keep up with her. Before she got to setting the actual appointment, I thanked her and hung up. If this gal is a reflection of the service you get at this dental clinic, count me out! I’ve been very rarely “welcomed” by any medical/dental office with this kind of unprofessional demeanor. But, maybe they have excellent dentists and hygienists there?
