I really love Dr. Scott. If I was just reviewing him, this would be a five star review. He takes great care of my children. My low review is with the scheduling/communication/office issues. For example, I called months ago for an appointment to get my daughter contact lenses. I was completely clear about my goal for the appointment. Today we went to the appointment, and were told we have to come back for a contact lens fitting appointment in six weeks. This was never communicated up front and I would have gone to a different eye doctor from the beginning if I had known this. It may not seem like a big deal to the staff, but extra medical appointments is actually a big deal to this hassle and disruptive to our life. As a parent, I deserve clear communication around processes and scheduling.

We brought our son here to be evaluated for potential lazy eye, and the experience was excellent. Compared to another specialist we visited, Child’s Eye Care was much more efficient and incredibly child-focused in how they worked with him. They took the time to understand how he responds and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. They were also very direct and clear when explaining our options, while still being responsive to any questions or concerns we had. I would highly recommend Child’s Eye Care to any parents navigating eye challenges with their children.

My foster daughter saw Dr. Scott right after she was just diagnosed with a syndrome that has a high probability of contributing to her going blind before shes an adult. Dr. Scott came in didn’t acknowledge us, we mentioned the syndrome and he flippantly said ya we have a couple of those, you can’t tell till she older so if she goes night blind in a few years then you’ll know. Not the best way to ease the mind of a parent that’s nervous. During the visit our daughter was hard to handle and the doctor was not kind to her and didn’t ease the situation. At the end of the visit he said “well you earned the worst kid award”. So needless to say he has earned the worst doctor award in my book!

we barely sat down before getting called back! haley was so so sweet and kept my daughter engaged the whole time (which I still don’t understand how she managed that.) She even pretended to do the eyedrops on myself and my daughter’s doll to make my girl feel more comfortable! We did not have to wait long for Dr. forcina to come in. He was efficient and made my daughter very comfortable. Top it all off with a sucker and sticker at the end! All smiles from this mom and her daughter!

Our six-year-old daughter was so nervous about having to have her eyes dilated, remembering how much it had hurt the last year. But Dr. Scott and the staff were so gentle, reassuring and quick. A specialist dealing with children and highly competent team, Dr. Scott is worth making the trip to OKC to see. (Haha pardon the pun)
